The ratings should be easy to work out but aren't that clear.

 

IIRC the letter designates the "rating" with E being the worst and A being the best. The number is the size of unit/compartment however weight does come in to it - a larger number is not always best as it can affect the optimum weight.

 

Confused? Yep me too. Thats why I just look at whether the numbers were red or blue (red=bad, blue= good) so the more blues the better!

 

 

I don't think the red/blue thing works properly in all cases - sometimes a benefit is red.  I can't remember what items it does this on.

That was fun - was in the middle of a fight and the joystick stopped working!  Seems to have turned into an "unrecognized device"  - back to my old saitek p750 after I've repaired one of the button microswitch (I have 100 spares as I couldn't buy 1).

 

Luckily I can boost away using the keyboard I wouldn't want to fight using just the keyboard.

I have had many mission perameters changed by different "factions" bidding for my services or goods, and sometimes the fed fighting "wanted" people, I have killed a few and gained much bounty also found "military plans" and "black boxes" all of which fetched way more money on the black market than the fines!

Not done the USS thing yet as I have concentrated on trading. Might be time to cage the inner pacifist and let the monster loose!

1.2 has been released last night :  "Wings" ;  two new ships and changes to the ship  Heat% scale  seem to be the big changes. The two new ships are 22mcr and one hundred and something million cr so I won't be buying either soon.

Tried 1.2 last night ; the number of "rare" items seem to have reduced and I had my first crash to desktop!  

Eventually managed to download it (due to problems with connection speed - was 3Mb/s as opposed to 50) but not managed to play the update yet.

I should have said 3Mb was the best speed I managed - at one point it was 0.77Mb.

I think its how fast the server can give you the data, the main bandwith will go to running the game....

 

I just made a nice 60k in half an hour took on a "kill pirates" mission, and started off on the unidentified signal sources... (found a few "wings" ! ) ang got military plans worth 40k , and some stolen crop harvesters, and a few kill bounties on "wanted" people..... I let them interdict me now (used to try and get away!) the beam lasers are awesome! (I have missile racks too!) I just need a better power plant next .....

I've got the Cobra kitted out with 44 cargo bays and am making roughly 300,000 cr an hour. I'm up to merchant rank.

The bouties seem to have gone up since the last update and made about £500k yesterday afternoon.

yes, (cant remember gillys in game nae) we could form a hunting party, and when online together, we could go for bounties from the bulleting board.... we would face "wings" as well, but it could be fun

right... both my small hardpoints are now running missile racks, I find once you take their shields down, throwing in the missiles have a great affect!
