Keith's 2015 Mega Hot Hatch Thread

Featured Replies

Just been out in the new Honda Type R.  Quite groovy but how do you use it near freezing condition and I doubt you can get down over 200hp?

Definitely 4 wheel drive weather at the moment for proper hot hatches.

  • You'd have to be a bit daft to think there won't be. Ford has (unlike other car makers) realised that loads of people remap and found a way to influence what people do to their cars. At least by off

  • This is my one, love the little beast.

  • Makes you wonder why so few makers do have an approved remap available. You'd think it would be better for VAG to be involved in a safe remap for it's products that just leave the door open to a mult

The same way as other FWD or RWD & even AWD cars have been driven since cars where invented,

drive to the conditions, fit appropriate tyres, and easy on the throttle and on the brakes.

?

Is it time for a new '2016 Mega Coupe' thread?

Nice.

I can understand why the UK prices can not be revealed,

as to the Co2 figures, then again we know why that is, the ones they thought would be given to the authorities need a bit of work on.

So they need to hold off on those Media Packs for the journalists and Editors, odd the Magazines do not mention that.

Anyway good on Volkswagen for getting another model ready for launching.

Mercedes have unveiled the new C43 ahead of the official release at Geneva.

The engine line up is very disappointing, where are the 250 and 280PS petrols? It would have to handle better than any other similar car by some distance to make it more interesting, it probably won't so I've taken my name off the list until they appear in the UK. 200bhp is more anaemic than the original lexus IS with its straight six, though at least you could remap it. I doubt anyone in Munich is sweating much.

I'm very very disappointed.....

There are some wonderful cars on sale now and will be in 2016.

This months EVO (May 221) covers some of the best Hot Hatches, Convertibles and Saloons.

When me and the missus were out today on Running-in,get to know you run in her Polo GTI we came across a convoy of this, presumably on testing rumour.

Look very nice in darker blue in the glorious Wiltshire sun.

Couldn't stay with the GTI though.lol

Hope you don't mind me asking but how have you found the Polo?

I have one ordered - due beginning of April.

I'm coming from Fabia Vrs, seat Ibiza and currently Peugeot 208 GTI.

The Peugeot has been good fun but 2 growing kids mean I needed a bit more practicality (5 door).

I couldn't get a test strive for love nor money but drove a Blue GT and did a lot of research which tends to suggest I'll get near identical performance as the Peugeot (perhaps a bit better in gear-real world performance due to extra torque) but with more practicality.

Would be interesting to hear your early opinions (although it's too late as mine will be here in a week or two!!!)

Cheers
