  • You'd have to be a bit daft to think there won't be. Ford has (unlike other car makers) realised that loads of people remap and found a way to influence what people do to their cars. At least by off

  • This is my one, love the little beast.

  • Makes you wonder why so few makers do have an approved remap available. You'd think it would be better for VAG to be involved in a safe remap for it's products that just leave the door open to a mult

Could just be me but He civic looks identical to the last model lol

Never found the need on the road,

happy to get into and out of a bend safely and still keeping a shift on.

Are we still talking about cars?

Only ever have been, it is General Chat on a car forum, not 'Plenty of Fish' or Good Housekeeping and discount offers on Pot Noodles...

Good car talk ^^^^ pot noodle discounts offers always appreciated though

I like Abarths :) (Save!)

You mentioned them yesterday on here, and could not remember where you had seen them.

In ASDA's doorway, next to the Winter Wash and De-Icer, just to stay on the car topic.

You above example inspires me

Which Abarth do you have?

Btw, don't forget the RS3, A45 (3 versions)

A 500, see post #370. Not anything like as fast as many new hatches but bags of character.

:wall:  Doh! I was having a senior moment :D Nice car :)

I enjoyed the second video them a45's certainly do shift :-)

Not strictly a hot hatch, but it is hot and it does have a hatch.

Audi RS Q3

If I was buying a fast SUV, this might be top of the tree (finances permitting). I waited for years to see if BMW would do a 3.0 X1 (they didn't) but this Audi looks seriously quick. 365 ps and 0-62 in 4.4 seconds (yes I know 0-62s are a little meaningless, but it still impressed me)

The latest face lift is slightly more powerful and apparently they have improved the gearbox quite a bit (it even allegedly has suspension now). It's a shame it doesn't sound more sophisticated

Have you had a run yet in a Porsche Macan with any of the choice of engines?

Even the lower priced models are rather a joy, and handle pretty nicely at legal speeds and above IMO.

The more expensive ones and with more power / speed available are something special.

I'd want the S, then I'd want Chrono, PDK, Top Nav adjustable doo dads and then I'd be broke. Best I don't go near them. Mind you a nice Cayman or Boxster with the last of the flat 6s wouldn't go amiss.

Man / Woman / ? / maths.

One vehicle does the job of a BMW & Suzuki as good or better than both for possibly less money.

Only down side a thief magnet more so than the others.

If I could afford the Macan in the spec I'd want I could have the much more preferable Caymen or Boxster and I'd keep the Suzy for going to dodgy places (as I frequently do!) and snow/mud/beach driving

There's been 3 software updates on the gearbox ecu since that video, it's improved it a fair bit problem with the a45 its torque limited in the first 2 gears which my previous car an rs3 wasn't, I've driven the latest version and it's not as "raw" as the pre f/l its certainly more comfortable on adjustable dampers and they've quitened the sports exhaust down too, definitely not enough in it for me chop mine in for the latest version.

I thought the optional Sports exhaust was the same? maybe the button was broken :D

Possibly! Maybe more sound proofing ;-)

I see there is interesting speculation about whether the Audi TT RS will have the new 400bhp 2.0 engine or the usual 2.5. hopefully for the money they will cost, it will have the 5 cylinder engine fitted, but if not, it might be a first chance to see what the new 400bhp engine that will go into the Golf is like.

It'll be a shame if they don't utilise the 5 pot, had the RS3 at the weekend for a full day and what a peach of an engine ;)

I'm lucky enough to spend a bit of time in the last TT RS (mostly as a passenger :() and it makes a tremendous noise indeed :) Proper Audi Quattro warble :)
