A few options. Leather, electric seats, heated front and rear seats, black pack power boot, towbar, spare wheel, parking sensors, sat nav and canton.

Was going for the roof but decided against it.

Have you had this agreed with the dealer, they don't like delaying the registration by too long as this means they don't get their money!

We are going to be out of the UK for 2 months from the beginning of September - and we have been told that if our car arrives during that period they will reg the car and keep it in their compound till we get back.

Yes as I said I was the new registration 65 plate, they said fine as the delivery date is expected for October.

I hope it gets a build week not so far away and it comes in September

Latest on my Scout 184, ordered 27/4/15, BW22 is that it's at-sea on it's way to presumably Grimsby.

Anyone care to hazard an evidence-based guess on the time it will take to get from port to the dealer?

Skoda uk told me today from port to dealer in N.I is 3 weeks. Been hearing storys the scout orders were prioritised all week. This seems to back that up. You ordered a month after me and will get car a week before me!

I ordered a VRS TDi Estate at the beginning of May (plenty of options) and SUK have told me this afternoon my car is scheduled for build week comm 22/6/15 with delivery to dealer late July. 

 

If it arrives before August 1st I am taking it immediately as it is a lease car.

 

Are you bypassing the dealer and speaking directly to skoda uk or have you ordered directly from skoda uk?

The dealer informed me my order had moved forward to late June but only after I visited them for an update.  I have also been speaking direct to SUK via facebook and they have confirmed the current build week.

 

I will just be happy when it arrives.

What information did you give to Skoda UK to confirm the build week?

Ordered 13th April, told it was build week 21... been told it's due to be here for delivery/collection end of June (30th)... so about 10 weeks all in, if it comes on time!

I have just been updated by the dealer with a build week of 25 and then 4-6 weeks to arrive at the dealer, so that'll be 12 weeks from order.

Bought on a PCH, which makes options expensive - even the £85 Simply Clever Pack ended up over £3 per month and metallic paint was £15 per month so I steered clear of options.

My (unconfirmed) build week is 8 weeks before yours for a SE L, with a few bits added.

Having purchased 2 other new Skoda's, I find that unconfirmed build weeks do not drift by a lot.

Ordered on the 5th June.

 

I know the factory closes for August - at least it used to, but that would not account for 8 weeks delay.

due at Emden tomorrow, but the dealer has now heard there are delays of up to 8 weeks at Emden. Guy I spoke to today has 6 customers with cars sitting at Emden waiting for a ship.

Originally given a Build Week of Week 29 but moved forward to Build Week 22

Saturday 6th June advised that the car was in Emden, he got a letter from the dealer on Tuesday 9th June stating that the vehicle will be at the dealers in 5 - 7 days, he got a phone call on Thursday 11th June from the dealer advising him that they had taken delivery of his car!

 

The dealers is very surprised at the speed that his one has come through the system, a call to Skoda Customer services has confirmed that its one of the 1st MY16's and the best news was that the Amundsen Sat Nav he added as a cost option was in fact a no cost option due to an offer that is currently running so he has saved £755.00 so he is very, very pleased. 

 

He picks it up this Saturday in time for a little run up to Rockingham

I've no idea, apart from maybe due to it's a vRS with a few options. I was hoping it would be here for September but it looks like at best October!

He said that its a very good date as its a manual and there appears to be delays with DSG specced cars.

Just my luck then. As mine is DSG but that wouldn't explain RobbySpurs delay unless it's option related.

I asked my dealer about a build date for my car, ordered 2nd June. He said he didn't have a definite build date yet but is hoping to next week.

Am I right to assume this roughly translates to the build date is ages away and he's trying to rescue the situation as much as possible?

If it is I'll have to service and stick tyres on my own car...
