Have The Express predicted 'Worst Winter In 100 Years' yet?

Dunno about the express, but its been knocked around the media a bit already... "enjoy it while it lasts, because the big chill/freeze/flood/galeforcewind is on its way according to experts looking for more research grants"...

Greenwich Mean Time and dark already up Northish UK.

Winter formulation in the filling stations and a cracking day before turning colder this week.

Love it.

Dark all the time

Crap mpg

Sure I saw "worst winter in 100yr / Snowmageddon" stories back in July.

The usual long term prediction big freeze / heat wave stories.

Definitely hit winter-ish; on its way to dark at half four, so no tinkering time after work due to receding light... not that I'd be able to do much with my fingers getting frozen stiff anyway! Checked the antifreeze strength in the truck -- paranoid about that big copper&brass radiator core -- good to -12°C; might strengthen it up a little bit more anyway.

Not long before co-workers start the gentle ribbing about when it's going to be on the road to start pulling people out of slush-drifts. :D

I'm loving it. That pup that I'm cuddling on the left there is plagued by some little feckers called harvest mites in autumn, despite veterinary medicine's best attempts to prevent them. They're horrible little b'stards that cause violent itching.

Frosts kill them off.

Got the winters on, & big brake conversion done, just need a service now.

Wood is nice & dry for the stove

Need to look at some lighter tele boots for this winter & new lighter tele skis..

Roll on the snow

Its barely been cold yet and we have already been low on power due to low wind generation, made worse by the french shutting a load of nukes down. Good job we have good old coal power to keep the lights on.

Tee shirt and shorts at the ready.

I think we hear about snowmagheddon at this time of year every year. More reliable than a Black Friday sale.

Only 35 years?

They're slipping. Last year was 300 years
