Think the vrs is 15mm lower than standard. Not sure about the new 245 tho..

Pretty sure 245 has the same suspension as other VRSs.

Just wondering about this.. I live in Ireland.. I can get 40mm eibach spring for €180 .. or 50mm fk for  €100.. which would be better on the car, ride etc.    but wanted to know if the 40mm drop would be enough.. compared to the 50mm.

Dont do it!!!! i live in Ireland and had my 162 rapid lowered , roads are too harsh where i am at least, unless you're driving motorway wouldn't bother at all.

The vrs i have now gets a bad enough beating on the roads , wouldn't dream of getting it lowered.

got mine done, but im in Ulster so the roads are marginally better, although i thought you had much better surfaces now?

anyway heres my vRS with TUV approved H&R springs 40mm over standard and also H&R spacers. the ride is actually better and not as harsh and the vRS original vRS springs.

springs are -40 all round and the spacers were 20 mm back and 15 mm front.

standard vRS is -15mm over stock, this was -40mm over stock front and back.

The side on stripe image is a better representation as the suspension had time to settle after being up on the jacks, it was up on the jacks in the close up.

Extra 20hp from each side or both? Lol

Mine is facelift, Guess the spacers are diferent...yours its perfec!

No rubbing?

nope no rubbing at all and i live on very uneven rural roads. it actually handles the bigger potholes with ease feels much safer.

You have any issues with speed bumps or certain driveways that are on slopes at all?

Im thinking of getting mine lowered, my drive is on a slightly slope down to the road and what with the DRM front splitter (from superskoda) im not sure by how much more i could get away with without scraping the splitter on the tarmac

Just fitted 40/40 H&R

Just great!! Need some spacers to be perfect. Mine is a facelift so don't know for sure the correct rear size (facelift models has wider rear)

So what brand of spacers do people recommend and what size?, a lot seem to have 12mm but im not sure that would be enough and then some say 20mm is too much!?.

Can the spacers be installed yourself or once fitted does the tracking and wheel alignment need to be re-calibrated?
