I wish haha, it’s the entrance to the family owned part of the Penrhyn Estate. I live about 2 mins away on a part of the old estate that was originally a slate mine. It says no admittance so I didn’t go in, stopped just short haha

No, it’s not. It’s also non existent for now haha. I’m hoping to start it next year, or maybe have a year or two out. The 20,000 word masters dissertation has damn near killed me lol. I would be picking a topic that I’ll be contributing to the body of knowledge in Education over a period of 5 or so years and will be required to produce an 80,000 word thesis so I need to pick a decent one lol. My first degree was in design though and that included graphic design and photoshop

Wife has to deliver a 45 minute presentation speech tomorrow to back up the 6 month course she is doing for promotion to the next pay scale at work. I had to listen to it today and time her. No idea how many words but listening to a subject that I have no interest in nearly sent me to sleep on my first day off work.

Ours has gone up a staggering 6% in total, the "council" bit went up 2.99% 0.01% under the threshold that would trigger a compulsory public referendum. (But with the latest precedents I suppose they could just ignore the result)

Think that was a Scottish attempt at humour. Might not have worked as intended.

A couple of updates; I have ordered some more things! It never stops  got a H revision lane assist camera coming today to get a good connection with the nav system and banish the TSR function restricted warning and to gain me the overspeed function which can flash up a message when I’m 6 mph over the stated limit. Also, good old European eBay has come up trumps with a glossy FL climate panel with the correct buttons. It’s from a Superb so the backlight will be white to match the radio and remove one more element of the annoying mismatched backlight. Finally!!!! Off to TPS now to get a surround in.

Does your current camera do lane assist? How hard is the swap? Physically I mean. Coding is coding.

Yes it does, it’s just an F revision camera which won’t talk to the MIB2 without a 0060 firmware flash and frankly, as I have a MIB2.5 I wanted the H revision camera to match. If you want to retrofit to a car that doesn’t have lane assist, you will ideally need a new windscreen or at least a vinyl transfer in the shape of the cutout on a screen like mine. You would also need a bracket to hold it on the screen and you can’t get them from VW iirc, you would have to get one from a breaker if they had it or CAD design and 3D print your own. You would then also need the wiring loom.

Or you could do it like this  - no windscreen change needed.

Or like that, I’ve seen that install and it’s pretty cool. I don’t know how it would work if you used it like that without changing the windscreen but hey, if it works, it works! If I were to add to the fleet with a Mk2, I would like to fit this camera to it.

MK2?  This is golf 7 so should be doable with Octavia 3

You can use an F revision camera on an Octavia 2 and wire it as per other cars on the PQ platform (Passat, Tiguan etc) that had lane assist. We want to change the Citigo, if we go for an Octavia 2, I would be looking at repurposing my current camera on that car. We have a few options, Fabia 2, Octavia 2 or another Octavia 3.

Not quite debadge, the vRS badge is still on the grill !!!

 Well I’m one happy bunny today. My Superb FL Climate panel arrived so I’ve wasted no time fitting it, and it’s awesome! Annoyingly I have to wait for Skoda to get a surround in stock but at least it works and with the FL radio and new software on the climate panel I’ve got some smooth new features and I’ve activated the climate control to come on with the engine off for 20 mins like in the original Superb. I think I’m in love

Absolutely, be aware it also has a screen heat button but you can disregard that or make one good panel out of the 2.

Ok. Remember the social experiment a few years back when a street thought they would be better off arranging their own services such as bin collections etc etc etc. Couldn't cope and couldn't afford it. Did not last any time before normal business resumed. Try walking 5 miles each way for dirty drinking water and you would soon change your tune.
