Been to see mine today as it arrived from Tyne yesterday. Picking up on Sunday.

It spent 8 days at Emden then a day on the boat then 8 days at Tyne.

They said it is in transit to Grimsby on a vessel named "City of Rotterdam".

 

I have just checked and it docked at Grimsby 18:00hrs this evening.

Must be the stormy weather as was due to arrive at 16.15 mine is on same ship

Picking mine up next Saturday, it is ready early next week but first day I am able to collect is the Saturday. 

My excitement is also rising.

We went to sign paperwork yesterday and saw ours too. Picking it up this evening! We can’t wait!

Very! Smoother ride, better all round visibility and the full LED lights down dark, unlit roads are great! The heated seats are welcome at this time of year especially first thing in the morning as I have the black leather option. How about you, are you happy with yours?

Also, thanks to a previous poster, I investigated the GAP insurers and shopped around. I used MSE site and got GAP insurance for £120 instead of the £395 quoted by Skoda.

Can’t wait to see all your pics this Karoq is my 6th new car and it beats them all hands down the ride is soo smooth and the quality of the car is fantastic it feels luxurious when your in it and mines an se l the top of range must be mega elegant I find myself just sitting in it playing with all the stuff I really like the automatic handbrake or maybe I’m just super lazy lol

Going to try and get some decent pics of mine today if the rain holds off long enough! The electronic handbrake and hill hold were standard on my Golf GT so I had to be sure they were on the Karoq too! Controls and dash similar to the Golf and anything I am not familiar with, a mate who had the Skoda Octavia just shows me, saves wading through the handbook!!

The Skoda handbook is (my opinion) the worst I've ever come across.

Picked mine up this morning and been driving it around all day. I love everything about it. The ACC was amazing on a temp 50 motorway, the ride is so smooth, like gliding, and much less road noise than in my 2016 Yeti SE. I’m still figuring out the Park Assist. 

 

Anyway, here he is. He has been given the name Hansel

Nice shot! Mine has been nicknamed the Burp cos if you put the 8 in the 68 next to the rest of the registration it looks like Burp!!

No way should a Dealership have the the Advance Payment for a Motability vehicle you are going to lease once Motability buy it.

 

The Advance Payment is guaranteed at the time of ordering so in that Quarter and can be less when delivered but not higher, 

and Motability agree the contract and no Advance Payment should be made until the hand over after the inspection and when you are putting in the PIN for Motability to pay for the car, and you pay the Advance Payment and any Extras you arranged / ordered. 

 

I have paid my Advance Payment because I did not what the money burning a hole in my pocket I have done this before and had no problems.   

I don't think Skoda customer service system is very up to date as they just informed me my car is on the city of Rotterdam on way to UK. Which would be fine apart from they told me last Thursday that it was on the city of Rotterdam and that it arrived in UK on Friday! The city of Rotterdam is back in Emden.

I had this happen as well. I was told the car had gone into production and a few days later it was waiting for the build week to be confirmed but when I challenged this the person on Live Chat (Robert) said I was correct and that it had gone into production. Very strange...

Funny enough if was Robert as well.  I say the ship arrived Friday.  He said maybe still unloading it! Not likely as ship is back in Emden! I'll try tomorrow.

Hi All,

Just joined as placed an order recently for a SE L 1.5 DSG, awaiting for the dealer to confirm, but hoping to take over an order they had for a Karoq with the same engine and just add our options on top.

Looking at the picture people are posting, i'd like to pick up the car now!
