I too notice the wind noise on the front windows and mirrors. Open the window a crack in the wet (so I can vape) and you quickly see all the rain and water on car being driven into the car. The aerodynamics is really forcing the air up and angled over windows, probably part helped by the heavily angled sides on bonnet.

Also the A pillars get very dirty when driving in wet conditions, very noticeable on a black car.

Spring clean of the interior still looks like new after 20 months and 21,313 miles. Still love it. No oil used since last service in January.

Looking good, I cleaned the inside of mine yesterday was looking like a warzone again.. my son basically lol. Dyson cordless mini is just awesome for clearing up crap, my wife lets him eat in the car and I have no say - so maybe I'm glad it isn't mine but I am trying to keep on top of it. Actually I'm glad I have the cloth centres in mine.. wet wipes take off food perfectly. I just got him a new isofix race seat too which I actually was able to get to fit the rear seat perfectly ;)

One rule in my car no eating which is why it still looks pristine.

Totally agree, if I'd laid out my hard earned cash on my car there would be no bloody eating believe me, I tell my wife despite it being a lease car we are expected to return it in good condition she just has a differing understanding to me in looking after anything loaned or ours, she is just one of those people, I don't even mention her phone. She has history of minor exterior restyling of vehicles in her family, luckily none of mine yet or never I hope.

My 2003 Leon Cupra (last new car I bought outright) which I chose the optional electric leather seats for, that was a strict rule for any passengers - no eating or drinking, no like no trip/ride. I didn't have kids back then though lol

Annual insurance renewal time for both our cars next month so been informed mine is going down £17 per year (surprised) and wife's is going up £10 per year. Overall very happy to be only paying £322 for the Vrs (54 yrs old) and £233 for the 148bhp Karoq (wife 49 but don't tell anyone).

That sounds a fair bit better than mine for the vRS.  I'm 57 (with 3 points) and just added my vRS to the last couple of months of an existing LV policy but I think they told me it was going to be around £500 at renewal so I'd be interested to know who you are with if you're happy to share?  One thing I will say I was impressed with at LV was that they didn't bat an eyelid when I told them I wanted to put on a tuning box - next to no questions asked but will add £50 to annual premium.

I will tell you who it's not. When I bought the car in 2017 Quote Me Happy wanted £100 more than the company I now use so forced me to switch and last year was happy paying £339 so chuffed it's gone down. 14 years NCB and no points probably helps.

My insurance is due early June.  Been trying some comparison site quotes for reference already, looking like £370-£380 fcomp full protected ncb, myself mid 40s, my wife late 30s, no claims no points. Moderate excess. Driveway parking,  Obviously leased.

Mine's around the same time - sounds like I should be able to get under the £400 without too much trouble, good to know.

The old insurance lottery. Mine went down when I changed from a 16 plate TSI to a MY19. Paying around 280 a year with one claim at 37 years old. Initial bartering opener from Direct Line was over £500 for the old VRS.

On another topic, something which is annoying me is the black plastic inserts on the outside of the front doors, always looks a bit scruffy no matter what you do with it. Next try is autoglym high gloss resin polish.

The 245 is one Group insurance lower than the 230 presumably because of more safety features and front/rear parking sensors as standard on model 2018 versions.:o

Ah but my old one was a 220 and my new one is the standard 245! Although you know that and had to mention it......:D

I’ll be getting PPF put on the pillars

when i’ve polished them up. I had it done on my last VRS and it

made a massive difference. Only cost me £60 too.

Yeah, paint protection film. Like wraps, but slightly thicker, clear, and self healing

Slow commute today so sunroof open the whole way and still got this.

any one has a picture of the oil filter? TIA

Took the wife's Karoq to Heathrow today. 114 miles used 9 litres of petrol and got 57mpg.

Only delivered last week. Fitted the lip spoiler and changed the badges.

Really impressed with the car. Just came from my beloved Fiesta ST...

Thought I'd post my updated ride.

Changed to 235/35 R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and some red items on the wheels.

I have also updated my turn signals to the sweeping ones (mirror ones).

Here are links to the turn signals:

Picked this baby up last Monday :-) enjoying it so far.  It's doesn't have some features my 2014 BMW M135i had which I never realised I would miss but I definitely do.  Moon White, DSG :-)
