The background on the VC changes with the ambient light selection. Unless you mean all the colours of everything?

As I have to put up with the VC, I'd like the dials in Blue or another colour. Can it be done?

Like the car still working out why certain things do what they do... Like the mode resetting itself each time I restart and so on.

I know some things can be changed with OBD11, I havent tried to change the skins though. Ive seen them changed on the golf but its hardly a handy change.

Seems everyones up in arms about the mode selection. Its inconvenient but I wouldnt say it bothers me, having DCC Im often changing modes depending on which ex-road Im on at the time. Pain in the proverbial if you like to stick it in sport and leave it there.

Sorry to see over the last couple of days that you arent totally happy with your choices, Ive been there with a new car and I know what its like.

About time, I thought my old council tower hamlets were tight wads with the state of the local roads where I used to live in East London. Rushmore are equally as bad resurfacing some of the worst parts in small sections only leaving other stuff. I cycle to the station work days, southwood, cove and Victoria roads have frankly terrible surfaces in places esp near the gutter where I'm expected to position myself. One section near cove brook was resurfaced because that was simply dangerous (esp on a cycle) and they did a section near the roundabout with prospect road, and that road itself only. They need to try harder.

The only hole you'll find is the extra large one in your pocket, when the council tax bill comes in with a lot extra added for using it!

Already paying £203 pm, you reckon it could top £250 With the new machines ? Cos then we'd be in Surrey costings

You should move to Leicestershire (North West) only £144 per month here last year.:inlove:

£203 pcm council tax? I wish, our council tax is £275, next year it'll be over £280 pcm. Living in the countryside on a country lane doesn't come cheap, especially when you're just 40' from both Gatwick and Heathrow, 90' from the Channel Tunnel and 75' from central London.

Just cleaned my car 2nd time this week (did it on Monday). To say it was dirty wouldn't do it justice. Looked like Colin McRae had just taken it for a spin round Kielder Forest (didn't check the spelling for the locals). Hopefully this week the roads will be drier and less salt chucked on them.:rain:

Too many Fn snowflakes up there matey

Managed 53mpg on the way back home today. Sadly, it was in the Missus's Ibiza 1.2 B)

But on a serious note, that's only about 10mpg better than my average in the 245. Considering the drivability, 10mpg is a small price to pay...!

I can Top Trump you with 58.7mpg yesterday in the wife's 148bhp Karoq. Much quicker than a 1.2 Ibiza.:bow:

Good mileage IMO on the 245....cannot complain for £55 to fill up.

Consistently getting around 450 miles to a tank and averaging 37-41mpg.

I agree. On a decent tank, computer shows I could get 510 miles to a tank. But fun and heavy right foot usually puts paid to that. Couple of sets of temporary traffic lights on my usual route don't help either. Stop-go traffic has a huge impact.

Wow! 15.99 mpg....

Also forgot to say - tyres also seem to have a much higher impact than I'd first thought. Got Michelin PS4S all round now and there's a noticeable drop in mpg since moving to them. Presume it's mainly because they're grippier tyres in seasonal conditions than the OEM Pirellis....

Think you need to change your grumpy pants mr grumpy :D

To be fair, I do a lot of motorway miles at 70mph.

Weekend and country road blasts do happen fairly often.

Just to back up my earlier claim and at the risk of upsetting Tony enjoy !:hi:

You've been rumbled. That's not a picture of an Octavia, that's a Karoq or Kodiaq.

You didn't read my earlier post to Mumphie where I stated I was driving the wife's Karoq on Sunday.
