You must be very flexible 😉. I didn't even try!

Flexible head and a few extensions and it’s possible, just a bit awkward

Chucked a bucket of water over it. Three hours later this is the result.         Happy with that

I think I've fixed the glovebox door so it latches properly again 🤞

Pulling the door upwards from the left hand hinge to realign the catches and a smear of grease on the catch pins seems to have done the trick.

Updated maps on the sat nav and whilst flicking through the extensive menus, I also switched off the annoying blips from the alarm.

Just went on a slightly longer drive to a ECP (open on Sunday :) ) to pick up a normfest AC “cleaner” as I’ve got that tropical zoo smell when I first start the car

Ordered a Mann Fprecious Plus pollen filter as I don’t think it’s been changing in a while and should stop more of the smell and help with allergies (allegedly)

Put in £110 worth of normal diesel 💔

Not sure if anyone’s seen my other thread but recently put on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6, so much quieter than the P7’s even doing 80mph (I’m told)

Summer tyres back on. And you can almost see the lake again! (I drove over this about 6 months ago - it was an ice road). This is also why you won't get any pics of the light bar working for a while yet, as it doesn't really get dark now and won't for another couple of months....

When you say doesn’t get dark, is it that as dark as it gets?

Nothing to mine but gave a friend's a deep clean and fitted a Maxton spoiler.

I too recently fitted a boot lid spoiler.  Got it from AliExpress.

Happy with the finish, fit & quality, given it costs a whole lot less.

Looks good for an AliExpress jobby.

what’s the price difference in maxton vs this

Badges fitted front and rear, wasted time and money on the ebay badges, they looked alright from a distance but the curvature was all wrong so they started to lift the next day.

Went with the moon white ones from superskoda this time,   fit and colour are spot on  😊

I'm up in middle Finland, about 4 hours / 300km south of the Arctic Circle. It won't really get dark for the next 3 months, from here to the solstice and back again. If it's cloudy, there's a chance of serious twilight.

Darkness... not really, but sun coming up around 0945 and disappearing again at 1530 in mid-December. It's not particularly pleasant...

no, it does get a little darker. This morning at 0400 it was light again already. Here's the graph: https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/finland/kuopio

Installed a Racechip GTS Black and XLR Pedal Box yesterday. It took a total of around 4.5 hours; 4 hours for the GTS and 30 mins for the XLR. Where they get the estimates of 30 mins I’ll never ever know. After getting the car on the ramps (dead easy with the DSG) then dropping the under tray was fun, as was finding and disconnecting the D connector on the Turbo Boost Pressure sensor; that was the usual joy, but the majority of the time was taken up with routing the cables safely.
Anyway, the important bit. Even with the GTS on the Eco setting, the car now drives brilliantly, with a lot more grunt and it was especially great not to have the usual throttle lag - that’s completely disappeared. Anyway, too busy this week to try anything further but it certainly looks like it will be transformational.

How much extra ummph do you get & have you had a chance to test it yet?

Sorry, I hit the return button by mistake - update above, Colin. It looks like it’s going to be a fantastic improvement.

OK. In your opinion was the throttle lag fix the result of the GTS Black or the Pedal box? I suspect the pedal box.

I'm interested in your experience because I had a Revo remap done on mine a while ago & whilst the extra horses & torque is great the take off lag is still there. As a result I'm looking at either a DSG remap or a pedal box so I would be interested in what your thoughts are.

Yeah, I’m sure that is down to the pedal box, but I’ll disconnect it to double-check and report back later this week.

should'nt need to disconnect, i believe there's a setting on the pedalbox , off hand i cant remember what setting it is but it's in the instruction book

Love this. I had these badges in my basket ready to buy last night and talked myself out of it… not sure that resistance going to last long now!

if you can hold off till end of may

, they have  done 20% off the last few years, so likely this year

just dont waste your £££ on those ebay badges

Great tip, thank you, I can definitely wait if it means a saving, as that’ll allow my man-logic to justify buying a bunch of other parts at the same time!

This cost me $110 AUD.

Maxton would've cost me $400 plus.

Kopacek one would've cost me about $400.

Original Sportline one would've cost me about $600.

It was a gamble I took and I was surprisingly pleased.

Yes, there is a “Neutral” setting on the XLR, but I have no idea if that is a true direct pass through or not. I’ll try it this morning and see if the pedal depression lag returns.

Yeah, white with the black trim looks fantastic!
