Well done Lewis bit lucky with the safety car, great race though and 31 laps on HARD tyres and he sets fastest lap. That was impressive.

Channel4 F1 pundit Billy Monger wins Pau Grand Prix!   Amazing.     What a great kid he is. What a comeback he's making.

Shall we say it again another mistake from the German Ace. Can't see Toto signing him to drive a Silver Arrows anytime soon. What a total plonker.

I would think Ferrari will be looking to offload Vettel as soon as possible. Ferrari were the fastest in pre season testing and everyone was looking forward to a tight battle with Mercedes. Leclerc  could have won two races this year, but Vettel has looked poor and is now 100 points behind Hamilton.

So F1 is now less exciting than cricket

Clever too. waited for Bottas to set a target time on the red tyres, then beat it on the last lap leaving no chance for #77 to take it back.

What a final over in the World Cup Cricket final thought New Zealand had it with 4 balls to go.

For sheer entertainment Leclerc driver of the day for me with his clean and fair on track battles. What a future star he is and Ferrari's best signing for many years.

Everything is less exciting than cricket now!

Can we have a T20 World Cup next?

Once again the sex bias at the BBC reared its ugly head though..." This is the first time England have won the World Cup ( in the men's game) "

Just last month Man City were, according to the Beeb, the first football team to win all 4 domestic trophies ( in the men's game).

Which journos write that stuff?  To be honest no-one I know cares whether the Sunday League standard ladies versions of those sports even exist.

Certainly for the BBC to compare the achievements of England or Man City in professional sport to that alternative is at best unfair, and at worst positive discrimination.

Later this season I expect the Formula W champ will be feted by the BBC as the natural successor to Sir Stirling!

They already have been bigging up Anna Carasco for winning in WSB (Division 3).

Ferrari FP performance nearly always looks good - Until MB turn the engine up to 11 for Q3. Top 4 mighty close though.

Even Gasly looking reasonable now he's given Max's setup (according to Marko) (although Horner tried to deny that on Channel4).

So tomorrow? World Cup? Wimbledon? Formula 1? Nope, none of the above - We are going to a 1940's nostalgia event.

Hoping my 2010 retro Sky+HD manages all the recording I need.

Woodhall Spa?

Yeah, had a fun picnic, loved the music, chuckled at all the Walts dressed up as military, admired the BBMF flypasts, a good day.

Just great for Sir Frank.

He is supposed to be the number one driver in the team yet has scored just 2 points so far this season (wages $1,800,000) compared to his cheaper ($1,200,000) team mate who has scored 14 points for the team.

Harsh but fair. Both drivers were needing race long mileage at Silverstone to back to back 2 very different aero specs but they crashed each other 5 turns into the race. Team principal Gunther Steiner was livid.

Yeah wouldn't want to upset him. He seems to have a very short temper.

And if his title sponsor had been messing him around for a week that could just be a little annoying too.

Hockenheim weather 39c tomorrow for 1st and 2nd practice and then rain over the weekend could make F1 some fun !

Merc have made cooling improvements but still won't cope at 40C. Another Honda win?

Even a Renault win (McLaren looking more likely than Renault itself as their chassis and power/torque vectoring is working better).

There would have to be an awful lot of cars dropping out or a multi car pile up for Renault to win.

Lando Norris looking good, maybe a podium if the weather evens thing up a bit with Ghastly, and Seb and the Mercs either not got their head sorted and/or weather effected.

"Only" about half on full throttle...

Ghastly 15th and now a wrecked car, oh dear.

Grosjean actually best of rest, wierd.

Gasly back to normal I see.

The Haas sometimes shows best of the rest pace over 1 lap, but in race trim it's been dire most of the year. Paddock rumour mill has Grosjean getting the push soon. The Boss admitted on Wednesday that he still isn't over his drivers wrecking each other at Silverstone and that action would be taken.

Mercedes slow in FP3. Shaping up for Charles Vs Max again.

Finally an unpredictable qualifying ahead

Mercs at sea with setup and even party mode usually helps 2 or 3 10ths.

Changing of the guard maybe

Vettel out in Q1 without setting a time. Starting P20 on Sunday.
