It was more a pointer to things that used to be.  We're currently doing a lot of sorting of stuff from home and t'wife offered up a collection of these that had been 'filed safely' - probably for 20 years or more!

on remember this theme. Anyone remember one of the initial internet sites ="Totalserve.co.uk". I've still got my origonal one, which migrated to "Madasafish.co.uk" and ended up as a Plusnet site, something which Plusnet folk ( even Tech Services) don't know. Plusnet recognises my details and lets me sign in.

Another remember is the two for price of one phone line from one of Virgins predecessors, ( possibly Telewest), where the internet disc took months to arrive, and till it did, with CLI telling them that you were a customer, you got scammed out of call charges per internet session.

a comedian who actually grew up near me, has a story about when he worked on farms as a young fellah and he a saw a crow stuck in a barbed wire fence, trying to get out so alive, and a cow walked over and just pulled it out of the wire and swallowed it whole 😳
