Red on the port side, Green on the starboard side.

Skoda finally admitting the Superb is really a barge/supertanker and equipping with obligatory navigation lights.

😲

Excellent news   :D

Press conference to launch this in Bratislava this afternoon (can be watched live - see link)

Might be worth me sending the sis-in-law along to see it unveiled / get some photos.  I'm intrigued...and a hybrid option...could be good!

I got these from AliExpress (think they were recommended in some thread on here):

£7.03  37% Off | 2Pcs Car Light 1156 LED BA15S P21W LED BAU15S PY21W BAY15D 1157 P21/5W R5W 21 SMD 3030 Auto Lamp Bulbs LED 12V - 24V

No bulb errors from the car.

can you give working link?

Hrmph - it's called the Superb IV - so technically a new model and not a facelift.  Interesting!

Details >> https://www.skoda-auto.com/news/news-detail/superb-iv

**edit** - I've been corrected, below, and have now seen that iV is, in fact, Skoda's moniker for hybrid.  That'll teach me for not reading properly!

So how long before they spec the S K O D A abomination across the boot lid as a "zero cost option"? Maybe they will fit a hairdryer into the boot recess so we can use that and the ice scraper to remove it :D

Otherwise, chrome trim and, er, that’s it really. Meh.

Indeed they do. Your post reminded me I had saved a video showing the comparison before getting delivery of the car but I had forgotten all about it. I looked up that bookmark now and it might just be what I'll do after all:

After 18 months fault free usage the LED indicator bulbs I fitted failed (well the offside one did).  I needed to get a replacement sharpish so ordered the Philips Silver Vision halogen bulbs. In side by side comparison to the remaining LED light they weren't as 'crisp' but not far off and their silver appearance makes them look pretty good in the rear cluster.

My LED’s (in the video above) are still going strong 3 ½ years later!

Still have a new unused pair for anyone interested.

What car saying the hybrid is expected to be around £40k which is disappointingly pricey if correct...

That's good, thought it would be more, perhaps 45K or so, mind you. time I spec one up I guess I'll be paying 45K!

Speculation the hybrid would only be available in higher level trims. Base SE L is just short of £27k and L&K list price is just shy of £33k. So there’s potentially  around a £7-13k markup for adding the hybrid.

The Passat GTE starts at £36k or so with the same engine setup...

I'm not too sure how I feel about KESSY being standard across the range, I've been avoiding it for as long as possible.

The new KESSY system has a motion sensor so the key only sends a signal when it detects movement.

Where did you find those prices? Looked yesterday and there's nothing officially released in the UK...

What car are “estimating” around £40k, so it might prove to be less (or more!)
