Hello.  I would like to change the appearance to a lift, for example soft 0480. Will it be possible to do it in my radio?

There is a process that I do not know how to do where you can swap from 02xx to 03xx or 04xx.

But the risk of creating a broken radio is high, and to recover is to open radio and boot radio on bench with wires connected to chip(s) on the circuit board.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you can recover situation.

Maybe @pab567would be able to perform task if you removed and posted it away?  Or perhaps he can guide you remotely in process, and be able to recover if it breaks.

ok, is there anything newer than 0253?

Probably to 0369 version, but you are in wrong menu for update.

Hold down Menu/Setup key for 10 seconds to get hold of your Software Train (and this location has the update button)

Updated version 0490. But I can't use the map, I already have a map on my memory card but never use it. The system cannot read or write data. Excuse me... Do you want to install other software update systems? toolbox ?

There's no other update, this is latest version released.

Is your map on a genuine Skoda memory card?

The original car was lost... I downloaded it from the official and put it in the memory card.

A few things that must be obeyed.

Card must be a Skoda SD Card (written with an ID valid that has to match system)

Nearly always in FAT32 format, I don't think any other is supported

Extract and write files only on a PC

Hello.

I have a 2020 Octavia III 1.5 TSI.

This is the information that appears on my Amundsen (I don't know which Amundsen version I have honestly) , I don't know if there is any update.

In case there is a new version, I have several doubts:

- What improvements does the new version have?
- What steps should I follow to update.
- Is it possible to make a backup in case the update fails.
- What risks could there be.

Thanks.

Regards

You should hold down menu/setup button for 10 seconds to enter engineering menu.

Then look for Software Train information and post picture up, this is also your firmware update button.

The software updates are for small bugs usually, things like Bluetooth connectivity and small other issues, they don't exactly provide a changelog.

Flashing is a fairly simple process, and there is no backup facility for firmware, but AFAIK you can load older versions, but don't quote me.

So far nobody has broken a unit in flashing, process is stable and straightforward.

Thank you for your help.

I have just downloaded and accessed the menu you mentioned.

I upload the photos taken.

I hope that the update will improve the android auto that I don't know if it's my smartphone or the Amundsen, but sometimes it restarts in the middle of driving and starts very slowly.

I can send update to 0480, not sure it will be a big change, but might just make it more stable.
