P0480T installed on my head unit and with no ill effects!!

Having said that I can also see no obvious benefits that are going to change my life 🙂

Mainly using SD card music and Android Auto for Navigation.

Maybe Android Auto seems a bit quicker to launch but that might be wishful thinking.

I just got Fabia Combi 1.0TSI end of 2017.

Is there any update for software? I am asking because SmartLink won't start it is stuck on "SmartLink is starting" screen and I would like to update it.

And is there any how to manual?

Does 0480 remains the latest version, please? I've had a few issues with Android Auto/Waze dropping (MIB2 screen black or drops to the 'App' home screen) only to reconnect seconds later and I don't recall experiencing it on 0478 or older versions. Of course it could be cable wear issues (though I've tried a few) or phone firmware updates that have added some instability, so curious to know if anyone else has seen the same?

 

 

Yes, MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T is the latest version available.

@Frko your unit does not support SmartLink, none update SW will have it enabled, you must have your unit changed, e.g. to 5Q0035842C. If you are interested pls contact me on PM.

Hi, this is my skoda. I understand there is a firmware update potentially available?

 

In addition, to add apple carplay I would need to upgrade from MIB1 to MIB2 plus add a new screen and then have the carplay function activated at a dealer, correct?
