What size wheels/tyres will fit to Superb III

Hi, bit of an older topic, but I’d like to ask.

I’m planning to get 19x8.5 rims. The recommended tire size for that width is 245/35 R19. I have a 2017 Škoda Superb 3 Sportline, which is already lowered from the factory by about 15 mm. I’m planning to install the Eibach -30 mm spring kit, so the car would be lowered by an additional ~15 mm (around -30 mm total compared to standard height).

Does anyone run this setup? Is it safe to use, and will it help me avoid rubbing?

Forgot mention ET35

  • Now new set is in place. Size is 245/40R19. ET35.   Car needs wash&wax.

  • 245/45R18 on standard 8Jx18 ET44 rims is a good choice for looks and comfort. 245/45R18 is a more popular and economical size than 245/40R19. 245/45 on 8J rims better protect the rims from kerbing dam

I'm running 245/40r19 tyres on 19x8.5 ET35 rims.

Lowered 25mm on Eibach Pro-kit springs, factory DCC shocks.

No issues at all.

Damn nice one! I like it. You had also -15mm stock lowering? So do you think my configuration will be ok ye? Can you send me which EIBACH Exactly you run?

I fitted EIBACH Pro-Kit E10-79-012-04-22 Suspension kit, coil springs and H&R 55573-15 (15mm) Wheel spacers all round. On Bridgestone Potenza S001 235/40R19. Never had any clearance issues.

DCC suspension is 10mm lower from factory, hence the Eibach Pro-kit springs will only drop it a further 20-25mm.

I've got Rieger side skirts, so it looks more lower.

As I already said - no issues whatsoever.

I have a FWD 220, hence I got this:-

Urs should b same.

Just make sure u get the right version.

E10-79 is wagon/estate.

E10-85 is saloon/sedan.

Why do you think I have a slightly different part number?

Estate / DCC / FWD 2.0 190BHP

E10-79-012-04-22 is for the AWD Wagon/Estate

E10-79-012-02-22 is the correct ones for FWD Wagon/Estate.

Any idea what the dimensions of the rims are?

I'll b making the switch too from 235 to 245 once my factory P7s r end of life.

With regards to 20" rims, u can do 255/30/20 on the 280 Superb.

But comfort will b severely compromised.

Some pics below of a mate's car with 245/40/19 and lowered springs.

That's not my car, so I don't know the wheel specs.

I myself have 19x8.5 ET35 rims with 245/40r19 tyres.

Thanks dude! Want to swap the vega’s to other rims and love the stance you have. So ET35 with 240 tires gives no rubbing? Mine is getting lowered in april on eibach pro springs. I have a superb 3 fl combi PHEV.

Hi guys and girls, i'm new here.

I have been looking all over the forum and the internet and I need some advise or information.

I drive a 2017 l&k 4x4 280hp superb combi and i'm looking for 19 or 20" deep concave wheels.

What width is possible to fit under the car.

I found pictures of superbs with up to 20x10j wheels, but there is never information about the ET-value.

The car in the picture has vossen cv7 20x10 wheels, for example.

No rubbing with being lowered, ET35 and 245 tyres.

Given u have the iV facelift version - I don't know wat the part number would b for the Eibach springs, let alone if they make a set for hybrid Superbs.

79-012-03-22 has a higher front axle load weight than the 79-012-02-022.

1100 vs 1070.

That would indicate 03-22 is for the heavier DSG variants.

Thanks, are you sure that chart is correct?

There appears to be a part number difference between Saloon and Combi even though there are the same part numbers on the individual springs?

In Saloon the 02 is for FWD, 03 for 4x4, 04 for DSG ?

On the Combi 03 is FWD, 04 is 4x4, 02 is DSG.

Assuming DSG is the last line

Is the DSG box that much heavier?

yes, the chart is correct. u should have a closer look.

saloon (3v3) and estate (3v5) share the same front springs. because saloon and estate front end is same same, just different variations based on engine and transmission type.

saloon and estate have different rear springs. because wagons r heavier. nothing to do with engine or transmission type.

hence, the overall part number will b different between saloon and estate, because the rear springs r different.

Nope - the wheels will still miss the arch as they compress.

Looks much better now. Enjoy!
