The Muppet in the Open Reach van had it plugged in to the one CCS at 8.30 am and still there at 2.00 pm and not charging.

The "muppet" probably need to be informed on difference between destination slow charger and DC rapid charging. Sounds like he/she is using it as destination charger.

I had a look in the Telephone exchange yard and there are a few vans there, no EV,s.  This driver must just be ignorant but there will others he is annoying.

The Traffic Patrolers were ticketing cars not charging and ticketing them when it was the charger that cut out on them, but that has maybe been knocked on

the head because they are still knocking about standing timing those they are away to nab park on the streets too long.

Am I the only one who thinks the Cybertruck looks as if it was designed by the old TG team?

Even if the Cybertruck is an F350 competitor it's still mighty heavy F350 5,878-8,132 lbs (2.624 - 3.630kg)

Another muppet that not only takes up two parking spaces but then shows it off to the world.

I didn't get to hear what he had to say, the initial "YO! Whatsup!" was enough for me to abandon it.

He is with the car filming so not going to stay there Shirly.

Unlike the Hyundai blocking the one charger at Turnberry & the Kia that has been charging 90 minutes at Girvan and is full and still locked in or the Merc getting 11 kw on the AC and has been a few hours.

Funnily an Open Reach EV driver was needing a charge as he has 20 miles range and 16 miles to home where there is 1 public charger.

He said report the ar53 in Forfar with the Open Reach Van.

I charged in Stirling on a rapid that was dead slow and i got 18 kW in the 40 minutes. then had to go on the AC to get to 98%, (Did 90 miles and still had 16 miles left and that was in very cold weather and not going slow.)

The other 3 chargers occupied. 2 had arrived just before me.

I was still there when a guy came back that had been on 1 hour 40 minutes in an Audi.

He was not bothered it was a £1 a minute over 40 minutes as a works car.    He said never again taking it to go south it was hell.

I watched that video a couple of days ago and thought there was nothing wrong with the way he was parked because he was very clearly filming with the car and also of course there was literally no one else waiting to charge near him as there were 2 other spaces on the other side of the chargers so clearly he was not causing anyone to have difficulties.

As to the way he talks, nothing wrong with that either, it's a phrase he often uses, and he is quite knowledgable about electric cars, we all have our little sayings that some may not like, but to judge him and his content on just that, well, words fail me.:wondering:

I can get flamed for my parking.   It was a Hyundai still plugged in and not charging but the plug came out and there were 2 waiting to charge if they came back.  The grass is frozen so I put the car behind the charger.  Places to go, people to see things to do.   I hope the Driver comes back in the next 40 mins though.   3 EV,s been past looking to charge and 1 waiting.

Re the Green MINI.   Charger port behind drivers door of a right hand drive car.  Usually means reversing near to a charger or getting port near charger. If you do it nose in you block the drivers door or left hand drive the passengers.

Crikey, that is almost 5 times the weight of my Superb with all of its extras fitted, and it is a fugly looking thing to boot 👎 As the saying goes, only its mother could love its appearance.

Doesn't that make these vehicles at least possibly LGVs under European laws?

JEEP are going Hybrid with the big ones, or REX (Range Extender).

Do Telsa know what size the load bed is or am I missing something?

I'm guessing the extra 2ft is with the load bed tailgate down?

Either way as others have said it's stupidly heavy and a stupid childish design.  I'd be embarrassed to be associated with it in any way to be honest...   Be that in relation to its design and engineering or just driving it.

Its interesting that at these chargers up and down the country, they always allow at least a full car door width space between adjacent cars, thats about 3 to 4 times the space allowed for in car parks, any thoughts what that is done for?

These charger spaces up and down the country are not all designed and marked to suit disabled drivers and give the space of disabled parking spaces.

Some are damn pathetic and mean you can not use them as you can not get in or out the car or plugged in and to the chargers.

There is a standard now that is being meet by some installers / local authorities and companies.

Some are even listening to not paint the surface or use red pavers that just hold ice and are dangerous.

Lidl did red pavers in Scotland at Disabled Parking and people could not use the bays in icy weather.

I do ask the Conveners or Councillors or Planners WTF, have you tried using the places you plan and maybe get yourself a wheel chair for site meetings.

They use excuses, talk about this and that and i tell them clearing they are a waste of space, and people need more space.

I think that all car parks should be like those in the photos, it helps those who are not registered as disabled, but may have other issues, such as my self, besides over weight, I also happen to have size 15 feet and I really need to be open to open my driver's door wide in order to swing my legs and feet out, otherwise I really struggle as my feet get wedged between the door bin and the door sill and the door is banging on the adjacent car. The other point is that a wide pace like that would also aid to reduce the severity of any car fires and help reduce them spreading so rapidly. Perhaps Luton fire might have been anywhere near as bad with decent gaps, it would certainly give fire services more time to respond I think.

You would also need the correct Licence  to drive it.

Yes the spaces are supposed to be for more than disabled or infirm or wheel chair users.

Parents & Guardians taking children in an out cars at chargers.

Then you them design disabled charging like in Forfar, dropped kerb, long cables and the surveyor spoke to me when i e-mailed the councilor to tell them they were unusable.

Dundee did them right. bottom pictures.

This on Forfar has the water gather as not enough drainage and it becomes a sheet of ice.

The 2nd picture is NHS and 2 public bays. Forfar.
