It is. On TV today. They have never found anyplace else with the granite so hard.

Beach cleaning and grooming started early & clearing of access ramps. 

Not the best of Easter Holiday weather in Sunny South Ayrshire.

It has taken a lot of work to remove the deep sand built up over several storms.

The ladies are out swimming tonight.   I have no idea if these are 'The blue tits'.

Looking across to Arran this morning.  It is a bitterly cold wind blowing.   Edit. Evening calm before the storm.

i was in Edmonton Canada yrs ago in March, it was -4 and i was out in a polo shirt. locals were in shorts tees and flipflops...

Very blowy.  Last day of Winter Golf Tournament canceled.  Extreme kite surfing weather.   Half wind turbines behind Girvan were locked last night but all spinning this morning.   Marshals are setting up for Saturday park run.  But carrying the signs to post up is quite a task.

The beach is pretty much empty as you can only walk with your back to the very warm wind. Face it and you are sand blasted.

Overcast and windy, but really surprised at how mild it is - 17°C so I'm toddling out on my bike shortly 👍

Winds increased yesterday evening.  Still mild though.  Evening sky and light was quite unusual:

 

 

 

And the colouration became self explanatory this morning when I went out to find my car covered with a light sandy dust.  And a seagull poo just for good measure

It is horrible and deserved a weather warning.  Cold, windy and really wet. Roads flooding easily as there were already large puddles and potholes opening up.

Well, today's been the first truly pleasant day of the year.  The threatened rain didn't turn up, it wasn't windy, sunny with a light haze and warmer outside than indoors a short while ago:

 

 

The only downside is it looks like it's time to crack out the Beconase.  Blooming (pun intended) pollen 🤧

It has, for the last week or 2, been warm enough to sit out after dialysis as long as it's dry. So of course the ambulances have been lifting us all promptly!

A cracking thunderstorm raging at the mo. By the time one rumble of thunder fades the next flash of lightning has already happened.
Another hour or so to come according to the Met Office app

Cold and windy after lots of fog last night inland and warm at the west coast.  Met forecast 21 degrees C this afternoon and the BBC a high of 17.  We will see. I think the 21 might be right in Sunny South Ayrshire.

Got woken up at 4am by a thunderstorm, some spectacular lightning less than a mile away (2 seconds delay between lightning and thunder), one violent enough to make the whole house shake - scary!!!
