I wouldn't sweat too much about the issue of it breaking down, and warranty troubles.  The failure is very rare, and they have always had a red emergency menu, not actually even heard of issues loading the updates (apart from what was already mentioned)

yesterday I went to the service to update the front camera software which solves the "Travel Assistant not available" issue... I was hoping they would also update the MIB3 software, but it remained 0306, so I would like to try to update myself.

I had message appear on screen yesterday about software update available. Ok, will run it whilst on my journey, but no, it says I can’t be driving. Been out into the car today but b🤬d if I can find anything about update. Where will it be? 

Top right of centre will be a circle with a number in it, indicating how many notification’s you have regarding updates.

Top centre of the screen there is a bar that appears, drag this down and and this will show you any updates that are pending, or completed.

It most probably has updated when car was stopped.

I picked up a new Superb combi L&K this week and the installed firmware is MOI3_EU_SKMQB_P32000P.

 

Actually after changing from a 2018 Superb I was expecting the car to update it's firmware online, but as far as I understand the discussions in this topic it seems that's not the case and the firmware needs to be changed manually. Am I correct here?

If so, where can I get the latest version and maybe a changelog (if that's not to much to ask ).

 

The car I have is a company car so I cannot risk bricking anything or rising some red flags for the Skoda service in terms of waranty.

 

I have read some guides on this forum, but I'm still not 100% confident about the process. Could someone please share some more light on it? Where are the updates coming from, is there an official source to wach for new updates? Are there any risks to car warranty when applying those updates?
