  • Why would you want them off? Auto lights are notorious for people driving around in poor visibility and no rear side lights.   Personally I always code them to be on.

just one but 😞

with smaller engines i can leave 'S' all day long
while 2.0 TSI keeps too long gears and i have to switch back to 'D'
when reached third gear after pulled from standstill or after overtake

You are the man, once again!

On my way back on the last long journey I played long with this you are right, the TSI does keep it a bit more than necessary.

I actually left it in 'S' most of the time, but short-shift sometimes when I feel is keeping a gear for too long, using the paddle to get to the desired gear and then leave it to resume auto.

I tried to change the temperature warning in the dashboard as below

23.04.03          OK

** ICE Warning threshold

17 Dashboard

            Adaptation

            -> outside_temperature

            ---> p_ice_warning_entry_temperature:

                        4 °C     ->         2 °C

            ---> p_ice_warning_exit_temperature:

                        6 °C     ->         3 °C

BUT I just get an "out of Range->33" message and nothing changes.

Are there any other steps required?

Did you have bonnet open?

Yes, the bonnet was open.

Ok, I have:

low threshold: 0

high threshold: 6

Access key: 47115

Did you try to first change the low and then high?

I have not seen the access key.

I have tried different values. I will try yours. Thanks.

Hi, I am having trouble with several topics:

-Skoda virtual surround & subwoofer: in ECU 5F, it want to change byte 11 to "Sound_System_internal_individual", however there isn't any option available. Is this function special to certain SW or vehicle trims?

-Aircare always on: I changed ECU 08 adaptation "Filtering of interior air: store" from "service life dependent store" to "active", however, I still have to manually activate Aircare everytime. Is there further coding necessary?

-Emergency assist: I want to activate the function, is it part of Traffic Jam Assist? I did the following changes but there isn't any option appeared anywhere in the menus:

   -A5 -> Byte 10, bit 4-6 "20 Emergency_Assist, EA_Variant_2"

   -13 -> Byte 4, bit 2 "Emergency assist active"

   -09 -> Channel "Aussenlicht_Blinker-Warnblinken_durch_Fahrerassistenz" --> Active

 Lane assist is active any working properly

Thank you

Any idea about the topics? I am planning to do a really long trip, these things would make my trip comfortable and safe. any help is appreciated

ICE coding in STG 17 worked now.

I used both, the 47115 login and the 02 instead 0f just 2. So I am not sure what did the trick.

  • 2 weeks later...

I managed to code the cruise control and ACC to move up or down in 1 MPH steps. This was originally from an Audi A§ 8V

OK

ACC  / CC Step change to 1 MPH (Audi A3 8V)

STG 13

Coding

Byte 14,  Bit 4 -> activate ("Operation_mode")

Just for info.

Mine does the 1 mph and the 5 mph increments by default, up & down for the 5 mph steps and pull the lever / press the button for the 1 mph steps.

The ability to change the 5 mph steps is still handy to know 🙂, it gives me more options.

Now, setting the 1 mph ones to 2 mph increment steps would be handy, i.e. having both the 5 mph and 2 mph would suit me 😉, think I will have to look into this

Hi guys, if I'm using Android Auto and scrolling for example songs in spotify or address book, after some scrolls MIB shows me I must wait because of safety I think. How can I disable it with VCDS please? I know it's possible via OBD Eleven but don't have it.

Thank you.

Hi,

how i can activate this menu?

I have vcds and obdeleven…

It is MK2, You should post this to MK2 thread.

Actually the oil level indication would be a great feature. You won't need to open the hood but check it on the dash. I know Audi has this feature, for one or another reason.. :D

Audi, Volvo... rationalized the oil dip stick away and they are selling this like" You do not have to do this dirty task of checking the oil any longer. We are up market."

BUT for a DIY oil change it is a right pain not to have a dip stick and use the dash oil display.

Does anyone have the instructions to enable lane assist in the FL model? I believe it's slightly different to the non-FL.

Here's list that I've followed using VCDS and got it working, only difference is that I've not done adaptation part on A5, only coding (initially had some issues but I'm guessing it was because I was trying to enable it using OBD11 few months ago and must have change something somewhere that was stopping me from enabling it now). Currently everything is working fine with lane assist, just having issue with blind spot (It works and I can enable/disable it on maxidot but I've lost option to enable/disable and adjust brightness on MMI).

23.03.20          OK

** Comfort Blink Cycle

09 Central Electrics

            ---> Komfortblinken Blinkzyklen:

                        3          ->         2

Does anyone know if you could change it from 3 to 5 blinks using this option? I had it changed on my previous Octavia using ODB11 to 5 flashes and it worked for me, on Superb I didn't had that option on OBD11 but now I could try with VCDS

Thanks, I've found this one too, no mention of coding in 10 Park/Steer Assist like shown above though. The above translates to "Lane keeping assistant with steering intervention installed"

I have done this with OBD11 (FL Kodiaq):

Lane Assist  FL Adaption Long Coding
03 - Brakes   Byte 29 enable bit 5
09 - Central Electrics Aussenlicht_Blinker => Warnblinken_durch_Fahrerassistenz -> Active
13 - Adaptive Cruise Control   Emergency_Assist => Installed (Byte 04, bit 3 (Emergncy assist))
17 - Dashboard   Lane Assistant => Yes (Byte 04, bit 6)
Volume to be replenished => Yes (Byte 10, Bit 4)
Lane retention assistant, BAP distance => Yes
44 - Steering Assistance   Lane assistant => active (Byte 04, bit 0)
5F - Multimedia Vehicle function list BAP => LDW_HCA_0x19 > activated
Vehicle function list BAP => LDW_HCA_0x19_msg_bus > Terminal 15
Vehicle menu operations => menu_display_Lane_Departure_Warning > Activated
Vehicle menu operations => menu_display_Lane_Departure_Warning_over_threshold_high > Activated

A5 - Drive Assistance   Point_of_intervention -> early_setting_over_menu
HC_advanced_takeover_request -> Coded
HC_variante -> Variante_1
aLDW -> coded
Emergency_Assist -> EA_Variant_1
Configuration_for_lane_departure_warning_Kl15 -> last_setting
Hc_messages -> coded
HC_mob_line -> coded
Lane_assist_off_tex -> enabled (I left it disabled, cause I don't like warning lights when Lane assist is disabled from menu)
HC -> coded
HC_Warn_Intensity -> Setting_over_Menu

Can it be coded to force the headlight washer to occur only with a long pull of the stalk? I'm getting through far too much liquid which would seem to be due to the headlight washer frequency.
