When I was young slash hooks in RoI were dull, very dull

Sadly they have been adopted by a certain small segement of the Irish population 😞

I've just watched the original Top Gun again. I believe it makes it my most watched film with over seventy viewings since I first saw it at Redditch cinema when it was released in the UK.

I have an admission to make...   I have the original soundtrack on vinyl...

I watched TG Maverick over the weekend and must say that without the flying sequences it’s a pretty ‘dull’ film.

i havnt watched it yet because im too afraid it will ruin my memories of the TopGun Universe. and part of that is down to seeing some side by clips with Star Wars that shows its basically that remade with terrestrial jets instead of space jets...

Oh Yes, the original purposes of such tools has not vanished. The tools are still needed.

The people that have found alternative uses for such tools perhaps need to be disposed of ......

Wow, dull and a bit complacent. Top redemption post after your borderline interesting stuff a few days ago. Welcome back (but not in a too enthusiastic way)

I am already thinking about having crumpets and jam for breakfast tomorrow

I've let North Cork Gardai know. They have a few. If they cant spare one then they will probably send you a hachet. If they are all spoken for then you may end up with just a golf club ( which would be a bit second rate but easier to explain )

They gathered up a few earlier this year

Now be honest, there is a stick on the floor that someone's soggy Labrador brought in and dumped.

Black gas bottles often contain nitrogen so nitrous oxide (laughing gas)?

It's all the rage with some I gather.

Would be nitrous oxide in cheerful, fun loving Germany, but.........on an Irish "Halting Site" its almost certain to be something that slipped out the back door at Porton Down

Now that's the sort of dull thing that's almost exciting as you see the transformation at the end...

Fair point; however, in my opinion, in terms of dullness during the process, it out does washing the car, vacuuming, and cleaning windows.
