Nope, My download stopped & restarted in conjunction with the running of the car & journeys, so it didn't take that long in reality, especially if you're in a 4G LTE or 5G area.

Is there a way to force it to restart?  Or were you lucky and it took care of it on its own?
I've got an issue with the maps database update - downloaded from the Skoda update portal, unzipped onto a USB stick and shoved it into one of the USB-C slots, but I've been driving the car around for weeks now - including a few 3hrs+ each way journeys - but the satnav still won't start and map database version shows as a blank.  I've got no progress indicator on the map database update so I have no clue if its still crawling its way through the 1000's of files on the USB stick or if its stalled or failed.
If there is a way to kick it into starting over, anyone know how to do it please?

I've not had any issues whatsoever with it bar 2 occasions when a software update by the dealer when awry, and the other was early on and it resolved itself.

 

Sat Nav updates have always been timely and trouble free.

Your Sat Nav issue sounds a bit more deep rooted if the app is  not even starting and no database version is showing.  Unfortunately sounds like a trip to the dealer for them to sort out.

I'm going to have one more go at downloading the updates from the Skoda portal onto a new USB-C drive and try again.

How is it so difficult? 

I also have a Hyundai Tucson with a satnav.  I download and unzip the map and infotainment software updates from the Hyundai portal onto an SD card, pop it in the slot, start the car and the screen says "Found an update, please wait...." and takes about 2 minutes to load it!  Done.

The fact the Sat Nav won’t load and it’s blank where the database version should be certainly points to a bigger issue.  When you update the database you don’t get any message - the only thing that happens is after a few hours the database version number changes.

Within the Traffication app you can change whether you receive notifications or not..... 

 

Open the app and touch the 3 lines button top left. 
 

select settings

 

then you can turn notifications on or off and turn Audible notifications on or off.

Hello guys, have you been able to update ? I have a MK4 vRS and MIB Helper is saying MOI3_EU_SK_R8030L is the latest. Currently I am on MOI3_EU_SK_R8960L. On MIBsolution, I can only find MOI3_EU_SK_R9410L. Also my wifi is disabled as in Mauritius, there are some features locked so I can't received OTAs. Need help !

Anyone else's voice control completely broken on 1985? Either pressing button on wheel or the "ok Laura" just shows the spinning wheel

Anyone else had various radio station logos either disappear or change to an incorrect logo in the UK?

 

Noticed GHR has lost its logo and BBC Radio 1 now has a totally incorrect logo. 

Mine occasionally don't display at all, but it seems sporadic, there doesn't seem to be a pattern to it

It drives me nuts that I can't get rid of London radio stations from the memory. Yes logos have also disappeared too.

I still seem to have logos, but I only have them come up on the virtual dashboard, not the main screen, as I generally have Waze / Maps displayed on that.  What I do find is the logo often doesn't come up when you first start the car, just the station name, but once I flick between two stations the logo is then displayed correctly - it's always been that way from day one of ownership.

After the last over the air update I lost the logo on all my favourites, they only appear for new ones added and I'm not that bothered, yet, to remove and re-add to get the logos back.

Updated successfully to 1985 a while back, haven't experienced any issues since (had some KESSY issues that turned out to be connected to something else) 

 

However, a couple of days ago I received an OTA app update (not sure which app, it didn't say) Since applying that update my navigation's compass seems to have stopped working. 

 

Whilst travelling, on the map my vehicle doesn't move from the start point, instead it just spins around and around on the spot. 

 

Anyone else experiencing this or any other similar issues..?

The update this last week was just an update for the "Manual" app from what I read before installing it so nothing to do with the Infotainment software as such.

It seems to have resolved itself thankfully, was quite distracting as it drew your attention. No idea what caused or fixed it but just pleased it's fixed 🙂

Is there a way for the Dealer to know if the update was installed OTA or with USB Stick ( of course with clearing of the „Confirmation of installation change“ error with the new Hex Value written ) ?

When you say battery recuperation level, do you mean recuperation when braking or slowing down?

I only now have Off, Automatic or On, where as previously I had options to actually set the recuperation level at high, medium etc. Not sure if it's related to 1985 or something else as I only just noticed it today.

I didn't realise you could set recuperation level.

I'd like to think that the next revision will allow Waze to appear on the cockpit display instead of the inbuilt system maps.

Isn’t that for the facelift rather than the pre-facelift

Don't think there is another revision. Sure I read 1985 is the last one
