I agree. And it's sad to see many of the Skoda trademarks disappearing (body-coloured A and B pillars gone; unique font for model name badge gone; white 'C' shape in rear light lenses gone). Still I guess that's 'progress'...

Agree with that and maybe have a new name instead of using the Fabia name again ?

Dismayed that Skoda in their engine options havent tackled green issues. It would have been great if they made an hybrid engine, some sort of small diesel engine with electric motors.

Don't know if anyone else has posted this link but it's of some spy shots of a silver coloured car:

Skoda Fabia: December 2006 - 4Car Gallery from Channel 4

I prefer the silver, but like others in this thread I quite like the front but the back doesn't work for me. The rear light clusters and the step in the boot below the rear window..? I'll reserve judgement until the treatment of the new VRS comes out. (So that's a couple of years then!)

rear looks like the fiat stilo

how:confused:

I like the back. Not so sure on the front from the pics, but I saw a roomster the other day and thought it looked ok, and it's the same front end isnt it?

Think I'll be getting that fabia logo for my current fabia though, looks much better.

Definite improvement over the current model. Lets just hope it dunt tip on it's roof as easily.

If it looked like a Stilo I'd like it. It doesnt. I think its awful!

for those who want the rs modle;)

clicky:)

As said, surely people buys the car cause of what they will get in the package vs price.

From my personal view it doesnt look good from either back or front, some cars like skoda should keep more of the old body forms/looks with them on their new cars. I dont like some new beemers, they just doont look good enough...and who heck designed the new nissan micra for an example or ford ka, they really looks like ****.

Ok i'll take one. :D

What's with this roof tipping business?

I'm so glad I haven't encountered any drivers going quickly enough to tip their car onto it's roof.I'm sure their driving must be exemplary.

I do not like the design of this car for the following reasons:

1. It is too tall

2. The roof is too high

3. It's not vertically challenged enough

4. It is very elevated

5. It soars, rather than cruises

6. It's a bit leggy

7. It's on the lofty side

8. I do not likes it's altitude

9. I'm unsure of it's vertical measurement

10. .... there's just summit about it :D

Chris

How much is 77kw in old money?

How much is 77kw in old money?

Just over 103 bhp, or just under 105 PS for our Teutonic cousins

11. It looks like its on stilts

I'll reserve comment until I see it in the flesh.

Don't think you really need to.

The current car was (IMO) a bit naff looking when it first came out and as the car shown is not the VRS version in blue  who cares what it looks like.

I think it is an improvement on the current model anyway as I don't like the basic versions on sale now. This is a massive improvement and the VRS is bound to look and drive great. Well done Skoda, thumbs up from me :D

looks ugly the fabia looks ugly till the vrs come out with the bigger bumpers but thats even worse the fabia II

Whoever has been designing the recent cars needs shooting IMO

dont shoot me in a few years please:P:O

A blindfolded chimpanzee could do a better job than that, so I wouldn't worry Leon lol.

I liked the old fabia because it actually looked like a car.

This one looks like a hearse. It's just a box with half a roomster stuck to the front

Should've gone to specsavers....

I don't think the current one looks naff at all....it looks like what it is supposed to be...a nice little hatch. No over the top, silly designs, it actually looks like a car, not an alien! It also has a nice gentle face :)

vrs in blue!!?:P

Awesome Job LYK, I hope that the new VRS will have this color and the sporty bumpers as the Octy VRS

I like it now , especially the back end , I think the headlights are too big though , I dont know what the current fascination is with huuuuge big headlamps , just look at how big they were on the Vauxhall Calibra-so why do we need them to be so big now?

Wahay!!! They changed the pants boot lettering:thumbup:

Mind you,not sure if its an improvement:confused:

Need to nick some ideas from Audi on badging I think
