Are you meeting us at the Texaco station just on the Belgian side of the Belgium/France border? If so, see you there.

No, he should meet us at the GPS location posted by Makefish in the 1st/2nd post. From memory, the A76 in NL, just before the DE border.

Looking forward to meeting you

I'm not sure if you have given Quinten your contact details as he has not passed them on to me yet!.

Any queries please ask here or PM me

PM on its way :o

Ideal, Q. :) I've not set any of those waypoints yet, but I used those co-ordinates on google maps to print off the stops and other important areas. I thought the only compulsory stop was going to the service station just outside Aachen

As an aside, in a world atlas, is "Aachen" the first place listed in the index?....

This is where it's a bit confusing as there are 2 Shell garages, one just before and one just after the German borders!. I THINK I posted details of the one in Germany but we'll work it out (it wont be too difficult to spot us!). Have you a contact number for --GT-- Q?.

Now that does surprise me!;)

The GPS coordinates for the 1st compulsary stop is pointing to the services on the Dutch side of the border.

To give a clue, the sticker is not English. ;)

Direct translations hardly ever work from between Czech & English. The Czech's have a specific word for everything and the language is very structured, unlike English. Which must be pretty difficult to learn when we have many different meanings for the same word:rofl:

English can be just as bad, plus we have lots of words with the same meaning which makes it even harder.

Just think of the number of ways "bo11ocks" can be meant given a different context and/or different volume through the word etc. :D Saw a skit on this on Hale & Pace years ago.

I would like two people to keep an 'official' record of our trip, one to take video footage and the other to be our photographer.

My nominations for these posts are Chris Ellis in charge of video and Xavier (tfboy) as our photographer.

If you two do not object then I would be very grateful for your help.

PM's sent.

I'll have both with me to get stuff as and when, Steve. Only this time I won't leave the digicam in the bloody hotel room for the Doksy Show....:o

Last year i gave the video camera to stu the outcome was 15 minutes of his feet.:D Nice one stu.:P ;)

I'll have the kit for both Photo & Video also :D

Collected 7,400 crowns at lunchtime today. All becoming VERY real now.

When are people planning on converting their lights to continental? I had a play with mine and think I know what I'm doing now (not sure I swapped the drivers side back to UK though .

I'll be bringing a screwdriver that fits the splines on the rear unit for xenons so I can do my own lights at Dover.

I was going to do mine at Dover too if we had enough time.

I will not change mine lights at all because of day time driving
