  1. 6000k is as bright as I would go and gives a nice white output.
  2. As far as I am aware there werent any issues with the petrol engines. It was the diesel engines.
  3. What service did you have? I would ask the garage who did it if any software was updated.
  4. The exhaust will quieten down once it gets bedded in. My BCS exhaust had two resonators and was the sport option. I have added the link below so you can see what mine was like. It didnt drone at all but then mine was a 6 speed manual.
  5. Chances are it will be the soundaktor (artificial engine noise) It can be disabled if you have vcds or obdeleven.
  6. Either Pagid or Brembo for aftermarket. Dont buy cheap as most cheap pads give cheap performance. I would google a VAG specialist in your area that uses genuine parts and you will find them to be a lot cheaper fitted than a main dealer.
  7. I would do a restart on the radio by holding the power button down and keep it held till it resets. I would also reinstall android auto on your phone. Then see if it works after that.
  8. Sometimes if the pads are noisy and also if they squeal, you can get shims fitted that stop the pad movement.
  9. I would go back to the dealer who did the work. Seems funny the car ran with no issues until 5 days after it failed, just after some work had been done 🤔 My guess would be it was not filled with enough oil, overheated and failed.
  10. If you saw this alot more after the dpf had been removed, I would look again at the map side. Perhaps something was not coded out correctly when the work was originally done. I dont know if anything else would need to be recalibrated given the increase in exhaust speed and fueling to compensate.
  11. I mentioned the glowplugs as mine failed a few months ago and all were replaced. Have you spoken to the mapper who put on your dpf delete map? There might be an issue with the software rather than hardware.
  12. What state is your dpf in? I only ask as if it is getting blocked it can cause running issues. Also have you ever had your glow plugs replaced? If one of those isnt seated correctly it can lose compression.
  13. The engines are different. The first thing I would do is make sure everything has been serviced when it should have. Such as the fuel filter etc. If you have access to vcds or obdeleven you could scan it to ser if there are any faults raised. Failing that it might be a seal on an injector that has perished but without investigation it is wrong to speculate. I would put an injector cleaner through it aswell as a matter of course. I did on mine and got a few mpgs extra.
  14. Best thing about lane assist is when it is switched off.
  15. You need an extractor set. Simply drill the head out and then a small pilot hole to fit the extractor in. They are cheap enough to buy.
  16. Personally I would find a vag specialist nearby to you who uses genuine vag parts and has access to the online database to update your service. You will save a lot of money that way.
  17. I would take it back to the garage to check it over. It might be something they have fitted incorrectly.
  18. Don't worry about the brand code as that doesnt matter. As long as the amps is correct plus the battery coded as fleece and the serial number changed. Then all will be good. The brand doesnt matter for coding.
  19. Mine is a 2.0 TDi VRS and I just push the button and let the ecu decide what to do. Normally when it is really cold outside the engine doesnt start to crank until the glow plug light goes out.
  20. The process is simple. Just make sure you update the amps to reflect what the battery is. Also make sure on OBDeleven the battery is coded as fleece. That is what it should be. Dont worry too much about altering the brand type and you can change the serial number by one digit. That is so the ecu knows it has a new battery fitted.
  21. The plate clips in and doesnt need any screws. The clips are very firm and there is no chance of it coming off or loose.
  22. The post I put on further up is the part I used for my tdi. Fits perfect with no issues. The blanking plate is the same part for petrol or diesel variants.
  23. This is where I got mine and mine is a 65 plate 184 TDi VRS https://www.akstuning.co.uk/shop/home/582-genuine-mqb-air-scoop-trim-plate.html
  24. The way the throttle pedal is setup you will have full throttle before the pedal even touches the kickdown switch.
