  1. Possibly the turbo pressure sensor. Thankfully the car is under warranty so should be fixed. Next time it comes on I would leave it and re book it in with Skoda.
  2. Just checked and all Skodas apart from the below will run on E10 E10 petrol is cleared for use in all following ŠKODA vehicles with petrol engines with the following exception: Felicia 1.3 litre OHV (40kw and 50kW) engines in the production years 1994 to 2001 Other ŠKODA models using the 1.3 litre OHV engines produced prior to 1994. NOTE: If your vehicle is listed above you should continue to use E5 petrol. If you are unsure please contact your local Škoda dealer.
  3. Most service is all updated and recorded online now. If your car has always been serviced at Skoda or at a garage with access to the online service database it will all be on there. I wouldnt worry about it.
  4. Most people turn off the sound actuator as they sound pants. I cant understand why anyone would wantnto actually activate it.
  5. Fords have used this tech for years. Had them on my old Focus and Kuga. They are very effective and help increase engine warm-up time.
  6. If it was your diverter valve it would normally raise a fault code as underboost or overboost. However for the sake of a new one I changed mine when I mapped my old car to latest revision for peace of mind.
  7. A lot of people swear by the throttle mod of changing the value from incremental to direct ober threshold in the steering assistance control unit 44. I was interested to see what effect this had on the car and read alot of reviews on multiple forums. I read some people felt a huge response in throttle response and others didn't. Some always drove in Sports and others Eco, Normal etc. With that in mind I used my obdeleven app to take a look. I have the driver profile switch on my VRS that goes from Eco, Normal, Sport and Individual. When I had the value at incremental I could see there were two values shown. I cannot recall what they were called but in Eco and Normal they were both showng as 2. When I switched to Sport those values changed to 3. I then changed to direct and what interested me is that no matter what mode I was in, they were all now showing as 3. So what it tells me is that the mod simply puts every mode into the Sport throttle setting and would be why those who always drive in Sport or with Sport on Individual mode; why they dont notice any difference with the mod. With that in mind I have switched back to incremental.
  8. This is mine. I have since deactivated the mirror dip function, as I found it more of a hinderance than help after a while.
  9. The direct systems are more of a pain than useful. The sensors are normally out and show incorrect pressures. Then there can be issues with the sensors not connecting properly etc. Sometimes less is more with certaim systems. I routinely check my pressures every 2 to 3 days and my guage is more accurate than any sensor.
  10. Did you buy through a dealer? If so I would make them aware just in case. Have you scanned to see what values the dpf is showing?
  11. Your car might be doing a dpf regen.
  12. Mark, accept my apologies. It is cylinder 3 and not 2. Fat thumbs. You can tell which one is the pressure sensor glowplug, as it has extra wires going into it.
  13. It is cylinder 2 with the pressure sensor on. You need a 12mm glow plug socket for that one and also a 10mm one for the others. Also use genuine glow plugs as the system is sensitive to the resistance in them. I fitted NGK and they all went again withn 1 week. Fitted genuine glow plugs and worked fine. Also dont over tighten the plugs. I think the pressure sensor is about 7lbs to torque up. The others I think were 15lbs. Basically lightly hand tightened.
  14. I am not sure if it was a main dealer you took it to. If not it needs taking to a Skoda garage as they can use ODIS to do a software reset on the transmission. I would not use any other garages given that it is in warranty.
  15. I wouldnt buy an old car I used to own. It wont be the same and specially if it has been in a crash. It could lead to allsorts of unknownissues. If you want another car like yours I would buy a newer year model.
  16. I think it came as standard after certain years. Mine is a UK MY16 VRS VRS tdi and doesnt have nav or the aux heater.
  17. If it isnt working id let the garage know where you purchased it from. They are liable to repair it so hopefully you will get it resolved?
  18. You can get oe replacement dpf. However it might prove a lot cheaper to get it cleaned out whilst fitted to the car.
  19. Looking at some prices I think I fairly well. Vollservice in a blackpool did my timing belt and waterpump with genuine parts for £385. Then the DSG service was £170. I wouldnt get it done at a main dealer as they rip you off with prices.
  20. On the plus side someone will get a bargain in a few years when the price of used diesel vehicles plummet.
  21. The newer petrols are very good. Not a Skoda but my wifes 1.5l 3 cyl Mini Clubman Cooper 140bhp engine is surprisingly good. The 1.0Tsi will need revving a bit to make it go so will be a bit different to the torque of a diesel. However I would try and get a test drive in one to see if it meets your needs. I like you will make the switch back to petrol. I already have in sight a Superb 280 4x4 estate L&K for next year. Good luck in your search👍
  22. Planet Rock....so Radio 2 then
