  1. Would the screens have component protection?
  2. Running fine or not, it will fail the MOT if the light is on.
  3. Many threads such as this one.
  4. This is Mk3 forum
  5. Mines been faultless, but then you'll get other owners who've had problems. Difficult question to answer.
  6. Many threads on this subject, with all engine types, but there doesn't seem to be any definite answer.
  7. Now you certainly have cause for complaint. At the very least the excess should be waived.
  8. But, as roottoot mentioned, did you tell them it was going to be used as a taxi?
  9. Exactly. Short distances and slow speeds.
  10. I'm not trolling. If Autoglass haven't got the stock, then they haven't got it. As long as I'm assured it will come then I have to accept that. In the meantime, I could check with other companies to see if they have it in stock and see if Autoglass could buy it from them. Your example of a mother of two is strange. She's probably only doing the school run and shopping, so if she had the temporary glazing as you now say you have then she won't be affected.
  11. But going by your posts, you would have expected the glass to be in stock, so waiting for two weeks would be unreasonable.

  13. Obviously not an ideal situation having to wait, but did you rant and rave about the company for not having it in stock? I'm guessing no.
  14. Unless the side window is broken by someone breaking into the car they don't often break. Even less reason for glass replacement companies to hold stock.
  15. Is it possible, the next time it makes the noise, get it recovered by Skoda assist who have previously said it's best not to drive it? The garage may be more inclined to give you a loan car.
  16. So you expect them to have every varient of glass for all models?
  17. Mines been faultless. No way would I go back to a manual.
