Rear fog light not working. Octavia 3 2017
Just to rule out any confusion, is this the passenger or driver side cluster you're looking at? I only ask as the default setting is to have one rear fog light working which is on the drivers side Were there any warnings on the dashboard saying the fog light didn't work?

Rear view camera glitch
I'd suggest finding an autoscan and adaption maps for a similar car with it working. You can then compare to yours to see what differences there are. It should help you find out if it's software, hardware or configuration.

MIB2 Retrofit
I've never seen anyone attempt a VC retrofit on PQ platform cars so I doubt the genuine clusters will work as they are MQB based. That being said, it appears the Chinese have started making aftermarket 'android' VC for some cars, for instance: - this fits a few VW's: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000759618838.html - this fits a Jeep: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001160737615.html In time, they may introduce the same for older cars...?

ECU Replacement opinions please
The orange light can come on for many reasons so without seeing a fault code, it's impossible to know if the ECU needs replacing or not. I'm not aware of any common ECU failures though... I'd suggest you find a local member with VCDS or similar to scan the car and confirm exactly what codes are present

coding the multimedia to turn off at car lock, not door open
It's #2. You should get a dialog box like this: https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/tour/controller-channels-map.php I'd probably enter: - Single controller: 5F - No security code - Adaptions - CSV file Either PLA or CSV should be fine but I'm more familiar with CSV so I tend to choose that Bare in mind, you'll get end up with a CSV with ~2000-3000 lines in it so comparing might take a while. If you post them, I'll try and run them through some python I put together.

coding the multimedia to turn off at car lock, not door open
It could be coding, an adaption channel or the module software version Given you've got a two cars that behave differently, the best plan is to autoscan and create adpmaps for each and see what's different...

Octavia mk3 enable corning fogs- infotainment tick option or not?
Pretty sure once they are coded, they will always be active. I'm not aware of a menu option to turn them on/off from the headunit

Retrofit parkhilafe i need coding.
That's an example of a Octavia with a 5QA 919 283 C module fitted so the lcode might be correct for your car. However, I would suggest you use it as a base and check each bit/byte. Typically, VCDS gives a short description for known bits so read the description and make a decision based on that...

Retrofit parkhilafe i need coding.
First hit is on google is: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/19347/ So I'd try 000308419618240 to start? If it doesn't work, post a full autoscan from VCDS

Amundsen MIB STD2 infotainment system with Android in Superb II
I believe so Any MK3 wheel will fit, the buttons are where you need to be careful.., They need to compatible with PQ platform cars so would have been fitted to a Yeti or MK2 FL Superb. You can switch the buttons easily enough. I used 5E0919719F which have green backlighting and no DSG paddle support.

Amundsen MIB STD2 infotainment system with Android in Superb II
I think you can recode the left roller as a "push-to-talk": - Go to address 16 (steering wheel) and check byte 1, bit 3. I can't remember exactly how it works as it's been ages since I had the original MFSW fitted. It might remove the mute function or make a short press mute and a long press voice control? The other solution is to fit a MK3 style wheel as that has separate voice and phone buttons

Auto Headlights
Your confusing the terminology: - Automatic headlights typically means the headlights will turn on when it gets dark and off when it gets light outside. - HBA (High beam assist) will turn the main/high beams on/off when their are other cars are detected. Automatic headlights do not need a camera, they use a light sensor in rear view mirror mount to detect ambient lighting conditions. High beam assist does need a camera and there are two different versions. The 'highline' camera lives at address A5 and is capable of lane assist, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist and proving data for SLA headlights. This is the version that lives under the triangular cut-out shown in your second image. There is also a 'lowline' camera which lives at address 20 and is only capable of high beam assist. This is fitted to the rear view mirror mount as shown here:

Octy VRS buying tips
Based on this service video, probably not from the top: ODIS or VCDS would show it as address/module 32. The above video confirms OBDeleven shows it as 'lock electronics' so if that's missing, your car doesn't have a VAQ diff :(

Led high beams and led day time lights confusion
On a FL it should be a H7 for dipped and H1 for main beam. Using LED's in dipped or main beams is equality illegal and should both fail the UK MOT in the same way, namely "4.1.4(c): Light source and lamp not compatible". Personally, I never had an issue with the main beams on my MK2 FL, they were nice and bright with decent throw. I'd suggest you make sure they are correctly aligned and that the reflectors, lens, bulbs are in good condition and clean. However, if you do need more light, fitting an LED lightbar is probably the best solution. They are typically more popular in the Scandinavian counties and can be fitted in a few places. As for the DRL, the method to turn them on/off is mentioned in the owners manual: If that doesn't work, you'll probably need the DRL's enabling with VCDS or similar first

I know you've checked the bulb is there, have you also checked both sides have the same number of wires to the rear cluster?

Swapping reversing light bulb for a brighter one.
A rear work lamp is a perfectly valid solution even if you don't like it As would fitting some motion triggered lights to your driveway If you do fit an LED, my only suggestion would be to buy a decent quality branded LED rather than generic Chinese stuff. If it causes a bulb out warning, have the car coded to suit (ODIS-e or VCP only, VCDS can't do this on a Yeti) or fit load resistors. If you do use load resistors, remember they will get warm so attach them to the metal bodywork to help with heat dissipation. I'm not sure what bulb the Yeti uses but these tend to be well liked: https://www.powerbulbs.com/product/philips-x-tremeultinon-led-gen2-p21w-6000k-twin

Swapping reversing light bulb for a brighter one.
If I remember correctly, the 1989 UK regs state "The total wattage of any one reversing lamp shall not exceed 24 watts". However, your car will actually be covered by the ECE regs rather than the UK ones. In this case, it's R23 that covers reversing lights and it's got much more complex requirements. Just for example, 6.1.3 states: That being said, there are no brightness checks/requirements for the UK MOT

Octy VRS buying tips
I've never used OBDeleven but I believe you can select control modules? If so, I think you're looking for "Lock Electronics", at least based on these screenshots I found:

Octy VRS buying tips
The most reliable way to check for a VAQ is with VCDS or similar, check if address 32 (Differential Locks) is present Otherwise, you can check the original build data for PR-1Y2 which I think is the front diff lock.

Superb Sportline - standard spec vs options
Adding front sensors might be close to that price but a rear camera shouldn't be: - Genuine highline rear cameras with moving guidance lines should be £80 - Aftermarket versions with moving guidelines are closer to £40 To the OP, if you find a car that meets your spec but is missing a camera, there is a guide to retrofit one for an Octavia below. The Superb should be very similar but with longer wires
