  1. At a guess, these maps (World bundle 3): Which can be downloaded here: https://navigation-maps.volkswagen.com/vw-maps/DiscoverMedia2_MRM3_1910_V16.7z Are you saying those maps don't work?
  2. The RNS-510 doesn't have bluetooth built in I'm afraid. If there isn't a separate module fitted to your car, you won't have BT support. They are normally installed under the passenger seat I think?
  3. You might want to try the VCDS owners list and map? If there is someone local they can probably recode the RNS-510 for you. That being said, you might want to add mode detail to what you mean by not working: - If there is no radio reception but you can choose frequencies that suggests the antenna hasn't been plugged in 😕 - If there is no sound from any input, then it might just need coding for your sound system or lack of. - Parking sensors might be a DDP/BAP issue which can also be changed via coding. A dealer with ODIS can certainly recode a headunit although they not have the knowledge to do so.
  4. Those are stock halogen holders rather than LED...
  5. Why not use genuine ones and get the car coded to suit? I believe the part number is 000052110
  6. As Dave mentioned, LED headlight conversions aren't as simple as switching the bulb. You'd need new headlights designed for LED's which don't exist for a pre-FL MK3. You could retrofit original xenon headlights but you'd need to add/swap various control modules, level sensors, headlight washers along with coding/wiring changes. Unless you find some bargain headlights, it's probably not worth it. As for the tail lights, you can retrofit LED clusters from other Octavia's but I think you'll need a wiring adaptor and coding changes.
  7. There aren't any detailed changelogs but it's normally bug fixes and stability rather than new features. The only info we get is in the form of a TPI/TSB. For Bolero/Amundsen units built between week 22/2016 and week 45/2020, the latest TPI is 2049459/14. Other systems and construction dates will have specific TPI's There is a copy 2049459/14 here:
  8. Add your headunit details to this thread: If an update is available, I'm sure Pab will provide it
  9. A scan with VCDS or similar might give some clues... I wonder if a software update might help but that might be a wiring issue on the CAN-bus.
  10. 5E0919605J is for an Amundsen and has a Nav button. Given 5Q0035840A is a Bolero, I don't think you want a Nav button
  11. I don't think that's true as there are separate TPI's and updates for the screen and MIB2 units. I can also confirm I had no issues with the 0480 update in my car, the screen was running 8130 both before and after the 0480 update Example TPI are below showing the differing updates. TPI 2049708/1 (14-Dec-2017) covers a screen update. TPI 2049459/14 (05-Oct-2021) covers the MIB2 update. Customer statement: Customer may complain about one of the following phenomena: • ABT display failures (black screen). • MIB switching off, restarting – with a connected mobile device with the IOS operating system. • MIB without sound, or sound cannot be controlled, voice control malfunction. • MIB sporadically switching off or gets frozen while calculating route or while navigating. • MIB does not allow the lower menu bar to be automatically hidden in the navigation mode. • MIB does not allow the activated additional information window to be closed. • Virtual Škoda Surround not working. • Radio is playing when customer comes to the locked vehicle. • Deactivating auxiliary heater pre-selections. • Changing time indicator. • The hands-free function is not available; displayed is the indication „Phone not available“ and Bluetooth does not work. Workshop findings: • The customer statement can be reproduced. Technical background Faulty SW MIB Standard (Amundsen, Bolero) in vehicles manufactured in the period from CW 22/2016 to CW 45/2020. Production change Modified MIB control unit Generation II with new SW version introduced since CW 45/2019 Measure • If the customer complains about one of the above symptoms, perform the update of SW MIB Standard (Amundsen, Bolero) to the new SW version. • Updating procedure of the MIB control unit using the application SD Creator – see Service Information No. 2034053. • To download the SW 369 (to be applied to vehicles manufactured in CW 22/2016 – 22/2017), enter Part No. 5FM.IB2.STD.369 in the application SD Creator • To download the SW 480 (to be applied to vehicles manufactured in CW 23/2017 - 45/2020) enter Part No. 5FM.IB2.STD.480 in the application SD Creator Important notes: If the following instructions are not observed, the updating process may be stopped and the navigation unit blocked. Warranty costs will not be accepted in such a case. • The respective flashing data can be used only for vehicles manufactured in the periods mentioned (SW 369 for CW 22/2016 - 22/2017, SW 480 for CW 23/2017 - 45/2020).
  12. It'll be a advanced measuring block in the engine control module: https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/tour/adv-meas-blocks.php I'd search for pressure and see what comes up...
  13. I expect you need the seat controller updating by a dealer. Technical product information Transaction No.: 2049942/3 Storing seat memory positions not working Release date: 07-Feb-2019 Customer statement: • Storing driver’s seat or front passenger’s seat positions into memory is not working. Service centre findings: • Entries „no basic setting“ concerning seat adjusting motors are stored in the event memory of the seat control unit. Measure • Online update of the memory seat control unit SW using the diagnostic tool ODIS via the measure code. • If the fault „Data set invalid“ is logged, check the SW version. It has always to be the latest SW version, i.e. SW 22 or 24. • In the case of the version SW 22 or 24 with the fault entry „Data set invalid“, carry out only the parametrization of the memory seat control unit using the software configuration (SWK).
  14. The rear fogs should be fine as they will meet whatever regs they need to. As for the reverse lights, they are only there to let others know you're reversing, not to light up the path for you to see. If there are spare outputs on the BCM, you can probably add an extra light and reconfigure it. Otherwise, maybe a reversing camera will help?
  15. Assuming you don't have Canton, it should just need recoding to enable the virtual surround and sub I'm sure Pab will provide you a link soon for the firmware.
  16. It might be worth an hours subscription to erwin to grab the manuals for your car? Seems there should be two screws, one in each hole based on the following:
  17. CAN-bus uses two wires for redundancy, that suggests there is a fault or loose connection on one of them Enabling the AUX input shouldn't cause it...
  18. At a guess... Route the red wire labelled T11/6 to the 11 pin connector on the fusebox (E-box), connect it to pin 6 in the 11 pin connector.
  19. Assuming you have a maxidot cluster with a settings menu, the behaviour can be changed there At least the old Octavia owners manual I have makes clear the expected behaviour: As Pete mentioned, there are reasons for the mirrors to move together. Although I always thought the vertical was matched and the horizontal was reversed which makes sense to me at least... Still - I'm not sure if this is related to the problem the OP is happening so lets see what they come back with 👍
  20. The wires on the mirror are for the demisting/heating function - polarity doesn't matter. It seems more likely the mirror isn't full connected to the motor? I'd take the mirror off again, verify the motor is moving correctly and then refit the mirror
  21. These days it's a parameter upload rather than an adaption/coding change. It's very unlikely a garage could accidentally change it during a service
  22. I assume you mean an '18 or '68 plate car? There is a power steering software update for vehicles of this age and one of the symptoms is "Power assisted steering efficiency decreased". A scan with VCDS or similar to check for fault codes will confirm if it's applicable. Bit more info here:
  23. My thoughts exactly after having a similar free trial a few months ago... It might be more useful on newer cars? Certainly on a MY18 car, it added nothing worth paying for.
  24. The rear windows should also support one touch. From the drivers panel, with the windows shut, press and hold up for 5-10s. Then press and hold down until the window is fully open and wait 5-10s before releasing. Finally press and hold up until the window is fully closed and wait 5-10s. It's the same procedure on all four windows and the order doesn't matter. You can also try folding the mirrors using the switch to see if that works. If at this point, it still doesn't work then I'd suggest a scan with VCDS or similar for fault codes
  25. Alas, I'll need to refill early as I've got a trip along unfamiliar roads with a full boot 😞 I'll leave it as an aim for a future tank!
