Quick and easy way to have a KPH display on the Yeti whilst touring in EU Countries
@Yetianimal - were you able to check if my previous theory was correct? Mostly to help anyone else in a similar situation but also as I'm genuinely curious. I've added my post below for reference:

Quick and easy way to have a KPH display on the Yeti whilst touring in EU Countries
If I remember correctly, if you enable "digit speed" in MFD data, it might hide the "Alt. speed dis" option... I haven't got a similar car to confirm this but it may explain why it was missing and then reappeared after the reset. You may have unintentionally caused it but of course the owners manual makes no mention of this... Disabling the "digit speed" should restore the "Alt. speed option".

Should be under settings and something like "Alt. speed dis" if I remember correctly. If it's not there, you car hasn't been correctly set up from factory or has been messed with (even if you're not aware it has been)

Remap
My 2018 245 vRS doesn't have a GPF - I thought they came in on the MY19's but I'm not 100% sure. Be careful of the clutch, based on various threads and the Golf GTI, it's not a particularly strong item and may need replacing shortly after the remap...

Can bus gateway component protection.
I don't think you can 'remove' CP from a CAN-gateway. It's only something I've seen offered on hacked headunits. There are plenty of services who can do remote CP removal but you'll need a VAS5054a or similar. Not sure where in Ireland you are but a quick google suggested: - https://www.adverts.ie/other-motor-services/delete-component-protection-vag-grup/15237415 - https://www.facebook.com/lostkeysNI/ No idea if either are any good so it's not a recommendation

Octavia Mk2 Aftermarket Head Unit - No Power
I expect the light switch might be the most obvious place? You can also get can-bus modules that'll generate a switched live and lighting wire from the original headunit quadlock.

Octavia speedometer adjustment VCDS
It'll depend on the cluster but at least some will let you change the tyre circumference: https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/index.php?threads/speedometer-calibration-with-obdeleven.349584/

Columbus SatNav.
I'd be amazed if the sand effected GPS reception by any significant amount, a quick google suggests various folk used GPS during sandstorms due to it's reliability in those conditions! To be honest, I can't see any reference to the Columbus showing any kind of fog/mist effect. The only reference to grayed out area's seems to be newer hybrid vehicles to denote electric range... edit: The FM RDS-TMC data to show traffic info on the satnav is also capable of showing weather conditions. No direct reference to it being used in the UK but TMC certainly looks to support it - could be a plausible explanation.

Columbus SatNav.
Say what? The signal from the satellites only determines the vehicle position, if there is a degraded or missing signal, the car will show the last known location. The map data is all stored in the headunit or on SD card and will be unaffected by atmospheric dust

Have HEX+CAN - update to V2 or to buy something else instead..?
I'd be tempted to sell your HEX-CAN USB on eBay as they tend to go for £250-£300 It'll probably work out cheaper than the upgrade path

Still diluting oil!!!!!!!
450'C is pretty low for a regen. For reference, this is a regen from a 2012 CR140 where all three EGT sensors reported 600+: I'd also concerned that the soot mass actual (measured?) seems to be 0. Makes me wonder if the car has been mapped or running some messed with software... 30ml of oil ash is also very low for a car on 156k miles (mileage based on your post here https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/502888-20-cr-engine-injector-seals/?do=findComment&comment=5646486).

instrument cluster replacement
Clusters of this age also have a few issues which cause various LED's to either not work or be dimly lit when they shouldn't be... If there are no fault codes for the power steering etc and the battery checks out, you could also consider sending the cluster to an electronics repair shop. There are a few companies online who offer this service but I'm not sure if they cover Ireland

Skoda Octavia 2018 VRS Estate manual 6 speed transmission maintenance intervals
Pretty sure it's a 'sealed for life' gearbox so requires no maintenance. If you're doing mega miles and planning to keep it for many years, it might be worth doing but otherwise I wouldn't touch it 👍

instrument cluster replacement
Pretty sure vcds isn't going to help with immobiliser transfer on a 2009 car I'm afraid 😟
-
instrument cluster replacement
You'll need a decent autolocksmith to transfer the immobiliser and odometer over and pair the keys. You'll probably also need to find the radio code as that's stored in the cluster too. I'd stick to the same part number... As for the steering controls, that sounds like something has been replaced with the wrong part. Hard to offer any detailed advice without understanding the full picture with part numbers and coding I'm afraid.

Can't Find Lights - Opening and Closing menus in Car setting Menu ? any Help to restore them , i bought it second Hand it is skoda Octavia 2014 1.4 TSI
I think you can do something similar with obdeleven. I've never used it so I can't give instructions. It'll be a different format to vcds so you might also want to post on the obdeleven forums to see if someone can provide a scan for a similar vehicle. You can then compare the two scans to check for obvious differences. I've managed to compete obdeleven and vcds scans in the past but it's not easy given the format differences and number of adaption channels 😕

Can't Find Lights - Opening and Closing menus in Car setting Menu ? any Help to restore them , i bought it second Hand it is skoda Octavia 2014 1.4 TSI
It's probably worth adding an autoscan from vcds and adaptation maps from both 09 and 5f. Without seeing how the car is configured, it's hard for anyone to offer advice...

Can't Find Lights - Opening and Closing menus in Car setting Menu ? any Help to restore them , i bought it second Hand it is skoda Octavia 2014 1.4 TSI
Depending what equipment you car has, those menu items might not be present as there is nothing to control. Do you know the cars history? The only other obvious reason for missing menu items would be if someone has messed with the cars coding or swapped parts without correct coding them afterwards. Without appropriate diagnostic tools, you probably can't get the menu items back...

All warning lights on
Unless you have the right tools, you won't be able to. A dealer, independent with online ODIS or decent auto locksmith should though
-
All warning lights on
Welcome! The cluster has the immoboliser and component protection built in so you can't just swap them I'm afraid. As for the warning lights, you probably need someone with diagnostic equipment to clear the fault codes for you

Skoda Octavia 2018
Skoda have been known to fit some poor quality batteries in the past so it's perfectly plausible for it to have died after 4 years, especially given the demands on a modern cars electronics and battery. It could also be something that's causing excess battery drain like a dashcam or similar. Is this a car you've only just purchased or have you had it from new?
-
Skoda Octavia 2018
Welcome. It could be a faulty battery - plenty of garages have battery testers to confirm that's the case before you buy a replacement If it is the battery, after replacement the car needs to be told there is a new one fitted so you'll need someone with diagnostic equipment to do that for you 👍
