  1. The connector should also have a part number printed on it... Might be worth adding some pics to show the problem 👍
  2. Are you sure? I've just taken a look a few gearbox workshop manuals I have and when replacing front final drive seals, they all point to the gearbox oil section to refill afterwards. There is no mention of a separate front diff oil anywhere I can see... The e-LSD/VAQ/haldex takes separate fluids as it's only used for the hydraulic clutch pack and not the actual diff.
  3. There are definitely switched lives in the fuse box... I assume you're checking the one at the end of the dash panel?
  4. Depending on the car, either VCDS, VCP or ODIS-e should be able to achieve this without messing about with the wiring 👍
  5. If I recall, there are two kinds of TPMS sensor: - ones which self learn which position they are in - ones that need programming with a TPMS tool (not VCDS, ODB11, ODIS etc) At least when I last checked, orange versions needed programming but black ones didn't? Might be worth adding part numbers or pictures showing which sensors you've used...
  6. I think the TSI is a chain and the TDI is a belt
  7. @lukaklaric can you update VCDS to the latest version and clear all fault codes - plenty aren't related to your camera issue and just make it harder to read. Once you've done that, a new autoscan along with a adaption map from 5F would be helpful ApertureS - lowline coding is normally byte 19, bit 4 iirc, that seems to be fine in the provided scan. At this point, the only thing that's concerning me is the software version, it appears to have a version normally used some Audi's and the Touareg. I can't see any obvious scans online of it being fitted to a Octavia/Superb. At a guess, they've flashed the wrong software to it (H18 supports both 4M0...A and 5Q0...B software)... 8. You can get the TPI from erwin https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/showHome.do but there is a small fee (€7 + tax for an hour?) to access it. There should be one for the 0480 update, at a guess it would be 2049459/11...? I can't remember when I last logged in but at that time, the 0478 update was the latest.
  9. Sure, attached it here: D4B80828146-Trailer_operation_as_of_2016.pdf It's something I downloaded from erwin mid 2021 so there might be a newer version but I doubt anything significant has changed regarding a 2018 car.
  10. Just from a cursory glance of some online parts catalogues, there certainly are differences between standard (1D0) and towbar fitted/prep'ed (1D4/1D7/1M5) cars. For example, there are some different hoses and fan configurations for the 1.6TDi Octavia seemingly based on the above PR codes: I'd expect something similar for the Superb with the same engine. Obviously that's not to say all models need upgraded cooling, only that some might depending on the conditions their being used in That view is shared in Skoda's own retrofit towbar guidance:
  11. I didn't notice any symptoms... It was just the fault code so I mentioned it when I took the car for a service and they did the update with no further questions asked
  12. It's just bug fixes and stability normally. Annoyingly there isn't a full change log but the TPI's give a small amount of info. For example, 2049459/10 for the 0478 update states: Which suggests that 0478 fixes those issues I've not seen the 0480 TPI so I can't confirm what fixes it may include. I am running SW:0480 and got a link from @pab567 - they may know more about the differences between versions...
  13. Pure ethanol is hygroscopic which means it will absorb moisture from the air. That's just like most brake fluid hence the need to change it every few years. Once mixed in with the other components in petrol, it really shouldn't cause an issue if the car is in regular use. If it's an older vehicle that's laid up for half a year with a steel fuel tank then it might cause a issues. To be honest, it's more likely to finish off old plastic/rubber components but they are probably due for replacement anyway... I use E10 in my '69 Sprite without any negative effects. When I dragged it out of hibernation this spring, it happily started on the first turn of the key with half a tank of months old E10 - no water/rust etc in the fuel filter 👍
  14. ODIS is the software VAG provide for their dealers. Independents can also use it but there monthly fees etc. Each brand is a separate subscription so I'm not sure if 'any' dealer can do it or not I'm afraid.
  15. A dealer or someone with ODIS online should be able to... You'll need both keys when they do it as it's a 'learn all keys' rather than 'remove missing key' kinda deal 👍
  16. Nope, they would stick in 5mm more so a 5mm spacer would restore the original offset:
  17. Compare the offset and width against your current wheels using something like https://www.willtheyfit.com/ Otherwise, check the PCD and centre bore also match
  18. Can you post a full scan from VCDS or similar? Normally I'd expect 1T0907357 and 1Z0941641A to be fitted on a pre-FL car. The latter part is just a ballast rather than a control module and doesn't support being coded. It might be worth adding some pictures of your headlights and any modules you can see too...
  19. Seems I missed one. Anyway, there are three pairs and one single lamp output that are obviously set as CH/LH at the moment. 20. Not sure if it just the first pair, second pair or both sets that need changing.
  21. It's not possible to pair a new remote fob without using some kind of diagnostic equipment including VCDS. Any guide that claims otherwise, is for a different, older vehicle - I'm afraid you're wasting your time by following them. Your car is basically a bunch of computers all linked together so it's not surprising you need a computer to make changes. It's designed to make the dealers life easier, not the drivers I'm around Cambridge most weeks so I should be able to take a look. Drop me a PM and I'll see when we're both free, it should only be a 10-15 minute job to do an autoscan and pair the fobs. Not on a 2012 Superb. VAG changed the immobiliser so it needs a PIN and SKC to complete the pairing. Dealers and other authorised ODIS/Fazit users can request a SKC but it's never actually shown to the technician so can't be shared. There are other 3rd party tools can perform immobiliser pairing - but not VCDS in this instance.
  22. At a guess, it's the standard MK60 ABS unit failure... You'll either need a replacement ABS hydraulic unit or to have yours repaired For example: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/300876-01435-00778-and-01423-fault-errors-all-arrived-at-once/ Repair guide: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/190784-how-to-repair-espabs-fault-with-vag-repair-kit/?hl=%2Bg201+%2Breplacement
  23. You ideally need someone with VCP or ODIS-e as they can directly modify the lighting config rather than using a byte 18 preset
  24. I think they just used any wire they had 🤣 Given there are only two wires, they must be power and ground. CAN-bus doesn't provide any power so it's very unlikely to only have CAN high and low wires...
  25. I think you might be looking at the first year payments...? If you scroll down, you'll see second year onwards payments:
