Center wheel caps, any success?
I have Alliexpress ones that are lasting great. Better than OEM. What wheel cleaner are you using? That is what usually does for them.

Manual 6 speed gearbox oil change
Would like to do this and looking online it looks like a pretty straightforward. Looking online thought the jury seems split as to whether best to leave well enough alone. My gearbox is a bit whiney in 1st so would like to do it. Cover off. Loosen fill plug Drain and refit bolt, Fill until over flowing then refit bolt. Missing anything here? Does anyone have the specs for the gear oil?

Approved Skoda - Oil Service required after 8 months and 6000 miles
Had the same issue when I bought mine. There is a condition whereby if it is a due a service within 3000km (or something) at date of sale they will do a service, if not then they will leave it and it will run as per the service requirement of the car. BMW and others do this too.

Wheel spacer opinions?
Considering getting wheel spacers to widen the track a bit on the car. Purely cosmetic of course but are there any downsides to consider?

testdriving a Superb 3 - any particular points to look for?
Check for corroded brake discs, bad at the best of times, worse if parked up.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Thanks Gregor, great instructions. Any recommendations for an affordable OBD scanner I can buy to clear the faults?

What have you done to your Superb III today?
My air quality sensor is gone as well, did you have to code the new one in to get it to work? That's the only thing that has been preventing me from fixing mine is I don't have access to coding.

What to expect from heated mirrors
OP, turn the switch to 'on' and then after a while just feel the mirror, if it is working it will be warm to the touch. If it's cold then something is amiss.

About to replace interior lights with LEDs, trim removal?
Job done. Photos attached. Be super careful when removing the front light surround. The two narrow plastic strips in the centre of the trim could break very easily. In my case I lowered the sunglasses holder which allowed me to to get my fingers on the trim and slowly prize it down, from the back of the car to the front of the car. The rear reading light was very easy to remove, pull down from the rearmost edge, the fronts have two tabbed sliders and it just drops out. Disconnect the connector. Then with a couple of plastic removal tools push in the various tabs on the back side to slowly release the cover. Then to have access to the bulbs.

About to replace interior lights with LEDs, trim removal?
Going to tackle this tomorrow. Any tips on how to access the front reading bulbs and rear reading bulbs? Also the door lights? Closest I could find online for the front lights was this: https://youtu.be/-PsSVIAcMkA

Error service: leave vehicle only when selector in position p - DSG Microswitch update
Wife's car was in with Skoda yesterday, while they had the car the Error service message popped up. They were well aware of the problem and there are two workshop fixes. One is to simply replace the microswitch, it is great to see they are now using this as a solution, the other is to replace the full assembly which is much more expensive. She said the microswitch repair is a couple of hundred euro.

Anyone got rust in this area?
Spotted inside recess for door strap, only on front doors. Looks like a bit of a trap for moisture with nowhere to go. Want to keep the car for a while so need to take care of it. Anyone else?

Cleaning 19” Vega Alloys - What Do You Use?
I wouldn't put that brush anywhere near my alloys VRS. Good for washing dishes only! If you are serious about keeping them in a good condition and unmarked get some Bilt Hamber auto wheel, a set of Wheel woolies and a microfiber mitt for the wheel faces.

Water ingress into wheel well
As above, lamp clusters the most obvious area, very unlikely, but not impossible, that a seam is leaking. Try track back from the leak with water soluble marker, making marks as you go, the water will erase the marker.
