  1. Oddly enough I was looking at oil pumps yesterday not electric though. Found out the superb’s oil filter is removed from below so waste of time getting an oil extraction pump :(
  2. I wish I had the cream leather as like you said makes it look airy and also less hot in summer. Gliptone liquid leather is what you need, as soon as leather seats look shiney it’s dirty :( It makes the car smell amazing too with its leather smell, though if you apply it without gloves it does smell like you’ve been fisting a cow
  3. Simplest terms, mib2 is what’s in that car. mib2.5 is a larger screen, looks like a nightmare for sun as well (can’t confirm), less buttons and the buttons aren't buttons as it’s touch sensitive. Might be other things too to do with software but not sure
  4. Just noticed the cream interior yum yum. Does look like the front drivers seat is a bit shiney so get some Gliptone on that :d
  5. You can’t just swap your battery on these cars as it needs coding in first. Personally i’d wait until Monday and go for a longish drive. In my mind turning as much electric gadgets off as possible will recharge the battery quicker
  6. You said vacuum and not hoover ❤️
  7. I got a used one on PCP, didn’t have too much wiggle room I managed like £2k off and 2 services
  8. I thought all Superbs had HDC and it’s automatic at least in DSG’s. I might be wrong but I thought when going downhill you use the brakes to get your speed then don’t touch the pedals
  9. The wife’s Fiat 500 had an advisory on MOT for some corrosion on the rear axle. I looked underneath and the paint is flaking so needs some protection. I found out this is pretty common for Fiats so i’d like to do some preventative maintenance. I was looking around on the internet and found two products of interest, one is POR-15 and the other Bilt Hambee hydrate 80 (treats the rust) then UC from the same company Has anyone used either on here? I did look at hammerite underbody seal but it sounds like it stays sticky forever which sounds grim to me
  10. Put the seat base all the way back, then all the way forward, then get into your position. press and hold set for about 3 seconds then immoderately press 1 (has to be within 10 seconds) but do it straight away.
  11. Exactly that, when I’m eco is disengages then tend to coast a lot more, so I can apply the brakes for longer. At first I hated eco as the driving experience is more clunky feeling with lag etc but i’ve got use to it, I keep meaning to put it back into normal driving mode but keep forgetting
  12. I’ve found driving in eco with DSG to clean the rears up lovely, it still looks like my pads are like an 1” too small as the outer edge of disc looks untouched (but weird) but at least the middle has come up better at 36k or so
  13. That’s most likely it as it’s when I leave the car for ages. I’ve only done around 6k miles in 4 years and once a year it goes on a 4 hour holiday drive. Other than that sits on my drive thinking “who has bought me...” 😀
  14. That works as expected just rarely it’s still turned on despite the car being turned off for a week
  15. Bit of an odd one here and very rare but sometimes when starting the car the passenger seat is already on max. I know if you drive, stop then return it remembers, but today it happened and last time I drove it was a week ago Very odd and so rare i’m not too fussed, unless someone else has had this and found the problem
  16. Noticed the dashboard cluster needles look like mini lightsabers
  17. What I don’t understand as well is when Skoda lift the cars it looks like it’s done on the sills but just use flat pads and doesn’t cause any damage. Is that because it’s lift at all 4 points and load is spread?
  18. Thanks, though that panel area seems scary to me. i saw a trolley jack pad from power flex which looks stepped so taller one side than the other which looks like it’ll be perfect, I have emailed them to confirm first though. Is your axle stand flat? Mines more like a V shape but not fussed if I need to buy more. I need to buy a new trolley jack anyway because when I used it on my Passat the back of the trolley jack lifted in the air
  19. That’s the standard jacking points, is this where you use your trolley jack, if so do you use the hockey puck to protect the sills from crushing? Also where do you put the axle stand?
  20. Hey up, If anyone is jacking up their car soon are you able to take pictures of exactly where you put the trolley jack (pictures of the jack and any pucks used would be amazing) And where you put the axle stands. I know i’m asking for a lot but if you can show front and rear locations that would be amazing! Quality pictures as well 😀 Cheers 👍
  21. Mentioned there but personally i’ve never had that on any of my VAG cars for over 14 years. Do you have any rings on the fingers you use to open doors? Or have acid for sweat? 😆
  22. I had the chrome door surround fixed under warranty/recall/whatever naff rear discs but since I’ve been driving in eco recently they’ve come back to life. thats it really but since I’ve had the car for 4 years I’ve only done around 6k miles 😆, PCP deal is ending in July and will pay the balloon payment
  23. I just looked at mine says silikat on the side. had a look inside and can’t see anything but I can see something similar to that in the caddy photo. I may have the twin walled one but I still couldn’t see it unless it’s at the back. On the twin walled system is the bag always in the same place or could it be different locations?
  24. I asked in the Karoq section and the lights are in the overhead interior light section and not the rear view mirror where I thought :(
