AM has been gradually disappearing from OEM radios for several years, I'm pretty certain it wasn't on the Octavia 3 I had until recently and it's not on my current Toyota.

Worked for me on the Amundsen I used to have? If you know how to use VCDS or OBD11 those instructions tell all you need to know - BTW no security code is needed.

Be aware that when you remove the instrument cluster it is VERY likely that the ABS will lose its coding, so take a full diagnostic scan (e.g. OBD11 or VCDS) BEFORE and be prepared to have to recode and redo the basic settings on the ABS afterwards. "My ABS has lost its coding after I removed the instrument cluster..." is one of the most common requests for help on the Ross-Tech forum.

On which the water pump is on the opposite end of the engine and not driven directly by the timing belt, and for which there is no evidence of premature water pump failure (I can only remember one example being posted on here). When the Skoda dealer in Barnstaple offered to replace the water pump at the same time as replacing the timing belt I reminded them that the water pump is on the other end of the engine and declined.

Unless the dyno operator correctly applies the expected transmission loss figures specific to the car then what will be measured is WHEEL bhp/Nm plus a guessed correction for transmission losses. Manufacturers specify FLYWHEEL bhp/Nm so unless the transmission loss figure is correct the numbers seen on a dyno will be wrong. A decent dyno operator will firstly do a run powered by the dyno to measure the actual transmission losses on that specific vehicle and then apply them to run(s) powered by the vehicle - this data should be shown on any graphs you have received.

For Park Assist to work it needs to be able to detect the vehicles alongside, hence the need for 4 extra sensors - 2 on each side by the wheel arches. I only rarely used Park Assist on my Mk3, but it did frighten my ex-SWMBO when I took my hands off the wheel and the wheel started whizzing round which made it worthwhile!

As you correctly say a momentary push button is required. Many owners of VW Golf Mk5 & Mk6, Audi A4, etc. without a start/stop have done exactly this using the start button from those models (when I owned a B7 RS4 this was how it was equipped from the factory i.e. key switch for accessory and ignition plus a push button for start).

Do you mean going full keyless start or keeping the key to turn the ignition on but with a start button? First complicated (additional module, lots of recoding), second just needs a switch in parallel with the start position of the ignition switch.

Depending on the spec it may not have those features., they are not standard on all variants. You need to verify what the spec is of the exact model that you are leasing. What headlamps do you have? Automatic high beam isn't standard on all headlamp types. Does it have keyless start? If not then it won't have keyless entry - even if it does that's no guarantee that it has keyless entry.

Is the child lock physically set on the door, that disables the interior door handle? Check by opening the door and turning the child lock setting device using the key.

That's a shame it was a great way to avoid having to buy newer larger cards on earlier MIB1 & MIB2 updates and worked well on both 8GB and 16GB Skoda SD cards. I've personally used it successfully on Skoda 8GB, Skoda 16GB and Audi 16GB SD cards.

It worked for me when I had a MIB1 Amundsen and the later nav updates wouldn't fit, so I don't see why it's not worth trying in this case - especially as the cost is £0.00 to try it.

No, VCDS allows you to change the settings of the software but it does not allow you to edit the actual software or to download new software. It's a diagnostic tool not a reprogramming/flashing tool.

Try reformatting the SD card to FAT32 using the smallest possible cluster size (2K or 4K), that reduces the amount of space wasted by the many very small files in the nav data.

You don't say if you're asking about estate or hatch, but my guess is estate???

The factory fitted infotainment didn't have CarPlay until the MIB2 versions, which were fitted from mid 2015 production onwards. My early 2015 production date Octavia had a MIB1 so it didn't have CarPlay so I can't see a 2013 Octavia having CarPlay from the factory.
