Is Max a distant relative of Nigel Mansell?

Speed restrictor
No, 100% standard - no aero tweaks, no remaps (none needed as the car - Audi RS4 - had 420PS). I personally drove mine at 140mph before running out of autobahn and it was still accelerating well not just 'gaining speed'.

Battery replacement 2010 Yeti
If there is no 61 in the scan and no slave battery management module shown below 19 in the scan then there is no battery management and hence nothing to code. A very good clue is whether stop/start is fitted - if not then it's 99.9% certain there is no battery management.

Speed restrictor
VAG has 'history' of not setting the limiter too carefully - on a previous car the limiter was allegdly also 155mph but there were many members of the owners website I belonged to posting videos showing a GPS speed of 168mph (on a level unrestricted autobahn in Germany). I know what you mean about speed difference - I used to travel regularly to Germany on business shortly after reunification and hired an Audi 90 - the number of times that a Trabant would pull out in front of me on a autobahn when I was doing well over 100mph (and it was going MUCH slower) was quite scary!

European Road Trip Car Advice
If you're planning to drive into certain towns in France (Paris, Lyon, Grenoble, Lille, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Chambery, and Marseille) then you need to display a crit'air sticker and be aware of any pollution related restrictions.

Battery
So the battery management still thinks you have the old knackered battery...

Octavia 1.4tsi Fuel economy
Took our 1.4TSI to France going down to the Med and back, never felt under-powered even when fully laden (with wine!) climbing onto the Massif Central.

Fleece or Binary AGM ?
For reasons known only to VAG they call an AGM battery 'fleece'.

KPH/MPH
There are several examples on here of cars that have been rejected by owners for faults such as this being subsequently sold on to new owners - BEFORE Skoda have released the software fixes, so presumably having been sold with the faults still existing and the dealer knowing that the fault existed and wasn't fixed.

This can't be right!
On more than one occasion with my previous RS4 after filling up I could drive for up to 100 miles and see the predicted range be greater than when I started - how come? Because the previous few days had been rush hour stop-start traffic on the M27 commute to & from work so the predicted range was based on a fuel consumption of around 15mpg, but I was actually driving at a steady speed on dual carriageway and motorway with a fuel consumption of around 25mpg. The predicted range assumes the driving conditions will be the same after filling up as they were before filling up, when this assumption isn't true then the predicted range is meaningless.

I hope you are all being sensible about THE PETROL SHORTAGE!!
Unless the charging point was connected to separate Grid supplied only from renewable sources there is no way to prove that the charging was 100% from renewable sources. Paying for electricity from renewable sources just puts that electricity onto the National Grid, what you actually USE is whatever has the lowest resistance path from generator to consumer at that moment in time - which means it is very feasible that while you pay for 100% renewable you could actually consume 100% fossil fuel generated electricity.

Windows 11
No, the free upgrade path to W10 still exists but .... the OEM (Novatech) configuration on my desktop confuses the Windows installer and it refuses to do the upgrade so I'll have to do a complete clean install of W10/11 and then reinstall all my programs again - and it just isn't worth the wasted week.
-
Windows 11
So the processor on my desktop is compatible with W11 but I can't run the App because I'm running too old a version of Windows - so I can't tell if it's even worth me trying to upgrade because M$ won't let me run their App to tell if my motherboard is compatible (or can be made compatible)!
-
Windows 11
I'll be sticking with Windows 10 until my PCs need changing - my desktop is too old to have support for TPM and my tablet only has 48GB SSD.

Delivery times?
Unlikely as it takes time to get a clean room fab up and running again, most predictions are that there will be chip shortages until at least mid 2022.

BOLERO screen trim
The bezel doesn't have a separate part number and isn't officially available separately. Your best bet is to check out a local scrap yard or if someone on eBay is selling a broken Bolero for parts.

I hope you are all being sensible about THE PETROL SHORTAGE!!
Saw an elderly person today (who lives on her own) trundling her shopper down the pavement with a 24 pack of toilet rolls perched on top - so toilet paper panic buying has already started. BP spokesperson said yesterday they will be delivering 80% of the normal fuel to 90% of their outlets, so that's still 72% of their normal - not really a shortage (certainly not on the same scale as the 2000 tanker drivers strike).

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
The dealer is an idiot - the remap is applied to the engine ECU but the infotainment update is applied to the infotainment system ECU - which is totally different!

Does skoda octavia mk3 vrs have pcv valve?
None of my VAG group cars have ever used that much oil: S3 1.8T never needed oil topping up between services. A4 1.9 TDI never needed oil topping up between services. 2 x S4 4.2I never needed topping up between services. RS4 4.2FSI never needed more than 1L after 5k miles even after 84k miles. Octavia III 1.4FSI never needed topping up between services.

Dashcam Hardwire install
Many systems in modern cars have permanent power and only turn off (actually go into standby) after receiving a message on the CAN bus - so a system going off doesn't necessarily mean they have switched power.
-
Dashcam Hardwire install
Does the dashcam have a built-in backup battery that keeps it alive for a while after external power is off (many/most do)?

DSG - reverse to first
A Skoda dealer will usually only do a software update is response to a specific problem that Skoda (factory or importer) say will be fixed by the update. Best bet is to find a good independent who can/will do the update. When I lived in Southampton I took our Skoda and Audi to Abtech AVSS as I wasn't happy with the local dealers.

Starting problems Skoda Octavia 2.0tdi 2017
Was the battery management system updated using a diagnostic tool (e.g. VCDS) that a new battery was installed? If the battery was the same type (AGM/EFB) and the same capacity (Ah) all that needs to be done is to change one digit in the serial number field.

Light configuration
Sounds to me like OP is confusing Light Assist with Auto Lights.
