  1. It depends on which engine is fitted.
  2. According to the internet:- "This is MIB2 By LG and have Component protection. Not have code." Also, this may be of help :- https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/41942/
  3. No, but I have thought about it for future reference. I think it would be OK but obviously I have not tried it. The overall combined battery length would be shorter but by bending the end pins you could meet the solder points. The 150mAh cells are thinner than the 200mAh cells. VCDS (diagnostics) measures the battery's internal resistance to determine status so this should not change (in my opinion) between the 200mAh and the 150mAh, only increasing as the cells age and deteriorate. I have also thought about soldering a red cable into the positive solder point and a black cable on to the negative and running both wires from the alarm through the bodywork into the dash and mounting a new battery holder behind the dash to make future battery replacement easier. Bare in mind, I work in finance so the above is just my speculation. Kev.
  4. Here's some fixings. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172733827491 Kev.

    Thanks.

Skoda Karoq SEL 1.5 TSI DADA DSG (2023) Just been out to top up the coolant in my wife's car. As it's under warranty I have never been under the bonnet before. Should it have an engine cover or is it from the factory that exposed? Thanks, Kev.
  8. On the MK2 all clusters include a handbrake on light. This is in addition to the warning message that appears should you pull away with the handbrake engaged on maxidot fitted clusters. The switch for it is in the handbrake mechanism in the centre tunnel. Probably the same on a MK3? Because it's part of the standard equipment.
  9. Did you vacuum fill or just pour it into the expansion tank? When changing the coolant this year I had to use a vacuum to fully fill with the new coolant. Kev.
  10. It is more complicated than that. The immobiliser code needs to be obtained from the old cluster and written to the new cluster for the car to start. This can't be done via VCDS. An EEPROM reader is required to read the data from the old cluster and to transfer to a new cluster. I had to travel from Leeds to Norfolk to get mine done. It is easier and cheaper to just get it refurbished. Kev.
  11. I drive a petrol engine Octavia, not a diesel. From what I can understand from the Skoda workshop manual (ElsaWin) the first step is remove the top engine cover. Could there be a misprint in Haynes? TDI Remove Engine Top Cover.pdf TDI Remove Intake Manifild.pdf I used a CEGA engine code for reference. Kev.
  12. When starting with the lights on they should go in and out and then up and down i.e. there are four separate movements. Other than that I can't really help. Kev.
  13. Is this the sort of thing you are after .......
  14. Hello and welcome to the forum. To be honest, I didn't know such a thing existed. I have never read any forum post about replacing the analogue cluster with a full digital display. It would be great if it could be done. If you do go ahead with this a write up would be well received. Kev.
  15. Forget the above. It should be the parking light.
  16. Bulb 7 is still identified as a dual filament bulb as far as I can see - P21. I was incorrect in my earlier post. It should be a parking light NOT a tail light.
  17. 7 - Twin filament light bulb for the rear fog light and parking light (P21/4W, 12 V, 21/4 W) According to the workshop manual it is a twin filament bulb. Has somebody put a single filament bulb in the bulb holder? Can that even be done? Kev.
  18. In Norway do you drive on the right? In the UK as we drive on the left only the rear right hand FOG bulb illuminates. I suspect it's the opposite in Norway. The bulb itself should be a duel filament bulb. The other filament is a tail light - 4 tail lights should illuminate (in each light cluster). If the other tail lights illuminate I expect the bulb itself is blown. The short answer is no! Kev.
  19. When my alarm battery started failing, that triggered the hazard lights. You could try disconnecting the alarm to see if that cures the problem.
  20. I had that problem only a couple of weeks ago. I found some images on an Audi forum showing how to orientate the spring into the correct position. Eight hours later I gave up and ordered a replacement unit from Ali Express. £4.27 delivered.
  21. At a guess ACM = Air Conditioning Module, that I understand is the panel on the dashboard/centre consul where you adjust the temperatue etc.
  22. Have you tried placing a jack under the breaker bar and using the jack to apply leverage? Has worked in the past for me.
