  1. Cross Climate 2 XL,s are not really that soft. The OP has not said what pressure they are being run at.
  2. Here. S3 intercooler. Feb 2016. 2.0 TDI. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/326591-207bhp-greenline-16tdi-project-yeti-se-business-20-tdi-150-ps-scr-project/page/24 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/326591-207bhp-greenline-16tdi-project-yeti-se-business-20-tdi-150-ps-scr-project
  3. Did you not use the feeler gauge to check the gap of those coming out to compare when checking the pre set gap of the new ones before fitting them?
  4. It is not the MBQ platform. it is VW Group A5 (PQ35) A remap. Not to get the power you want though. ? Are you taking it to a track? The Torque at 200 BHP or more is too much for the gearbox if a manual is it not? @Schtum might be able to help. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/490697-any-modified-yetis
  5. See the post / icture from @fabianoh5n1 You will spot them easily enough if fitted. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/392456-spark-plug-question Here is a good guide. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/462285-spark-plug-guide
  6. @timster that is 'simply clever', if they can stop the filler flap freezing closed it will be brilliant. ? Where did that gem about the wipers come from? Has anyone a link to that, or is it from a Dealership employee of the kind that 'Has never seen that before', or 'they all do that'.
  7. Over a decade now plenty here and elsewhere had to deal with issues from the OE consumables and then the revised 2009-2012, then the same with the revised engines and factory map or remap. It is the same engines we are talking about now. The CAVE issue was really with one spark plug / cylinder. It still is. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/237997-bkr7eix-spark-plugs
  8. Loads of decent ones out there, it is finding one. One with a replacement engine should not put you off. Loads never actually needed a new engine but did get one, they needed the right oil, capacity, spark plugs, super unleaded and a remap could help lots.
  9. Nice to see @vxh26back and with a vRS or changing plugs in one. He will know well the spark plug saga of the original plugs in a Twincharger, then the revised ones that were introduced, then the different plugs people started to use because of the issues. There was the original gap, then the revised one when Skoda / VW changed the plugs / gaps. Then the plugs with a different reach and the gap differences. So people will need to know what the plugs spec should be and the correct gap, and then actually check that gap before putting them in, even though they are pre gapped. They even show and have the Plugs Skoda / VW Fitted and recommended.
  10. @wolverine5plEven if the belt was lifetime there is the very good observation in another thread this week. The tensioner / springs/ bearings are not. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/509743-thoughts-on-timing-belt-changes VW / Skoda UK or their contractors for Customer Services give the same answer year after year. Mk3 1.4 TSI / DSG. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/458348-timing-belt/page/3
  11. Manuals and dipping the clutch to 'coast' was a thing and the way that 'coasting' was know to be. Different times, different era and Automatics or Automated Manuals, and the tech is designed in to meet modern Emissions and test regimes, even if they are done on rolling roads. With Mild Hybrids, PHEV's and now EV's 'Coasting' can be were regening of the battery is happening and with EV's there are no clutches to be disengaged. The car can decide if no power / drive is required to maintain speed, or even if all the cylinders are required or the engine needs to be running. 2017 The cars are built for Global Sales.
  12. There was this car. But it all seems a p!55 take. 3 new engines supposedly. https://www.thesun.co.uk/motors/3685205/drivers-fury-after-his-14500-skoda-needed-40000-worth-of-repairs
  13. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/294051-cave-cthe-14tsi-just-reply-please-if-you-had-an-engine-replaced http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/353149-fabia-mk2-vrs-14-tsi-replacement-engines-replaced-how-many http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/449229-new-engine-is-not-a-new-engine It was and is a fiasco. But there are plenty cars still going on original or replacement engines or ones with upgrades like oil spray jets. Lots scrapped now, crashed or engine / gearbox being the issue. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/324108-replacement-engines-engine-numbers-v5-dvla-skoda-uk-what-happened
  14. ? Does your Travel assist / Lane Assist work at low / street lit area speeds?
  15. @silver50Have you got an account with BCA? Lots at Dealers / traders for sale around the country. Swing Radio.
  16. ? Who was it that gave you that offer, i would get it in writing'. Not sure on the 'some evidence of a fault' and them covering it'. on a 4 year old car. Very very hopeful. Does the T&C's of the 'all in service' really cover a clutch / flywheel replacement? Wear & Tear exclusions. skoda-allin-warranty-terms-and-conditions.pdf
  17. They can maybe import them into the UK. Get them in that boat. Get them out of the EU and get money. Maybe VW / Skoda UK do not want them yet. Average fleet C02. First registrations,. Pay import duty, Exchange rate etc etc. So there is more to it than ship, store in the UK, get on a transporter and to a distribution centre or dealers. Brexit.
  18. Guest_ replied to awfabia's topic in Skoda Yeti
That needs to be a good dealership with good workshop staff, and that is rare. A good Independent that actually does Preventive Maintenance and inspections, services brakes etc and chargers a fair price for a job well done is a better bet.
  19. Outside is where the driver is, using that mirror mostly, nearside where the front seat passenger is with a mirror outside.
  20. @t3rm3y Cross your fingers, buy the clothes pegs and lucky heather. Doubt very much it is a 20% failure rate, not even among taxis. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/502505-engine-failure http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/502054-i-am-the-1-in-5 If Skoda / VW did lifetime they could give a Warranty in the UK of the production life of vehicles, so 7 or 8 years. You might get that in Australia. Not on a Cambelt though. The only Life time thing i ever hear from Skoda Main Dealership employees or Customer Service is the DQ200's sealed for life. Which they are not actually, it is just there is no schedule, guidelines or recommendations for changing the oil.
  21. Welcome. Sorry no idea but someone less deaf than me will be along. Hopefully something simple. ? So has the car been serviced to schedule or manufacturers recommendations, guidelines? Spark plugs changed, cam belt / tensioner replaced?
  22. Welcome to the forum. First 30 minutes of a diagnosis is £60 with Skoda Fixed Servicing and maintenance at participating dealers. Did their Inspection part at the Oil & Inspection Service not let the tech see where the leak was? My Advice, go to an independent garage, a VW / Skoda specialist, or someone not blind, and blind greedy and get them to look and give an opinion and an approx cost to repair, or not repair.
  23. Autocar publish some guff. (now they bring up the figure of around 90% charging at home.) http://autocar.co.uk/car-news/advice-electric-cars/charging-electric-car-apartment-or-flat I wonder if they talked to Grant Shapps or Michael Gove about levelling up and just run an electric cable across the pavement. Be sure to not leave it longer than required if charging your hybrid for hours or your EV from a domestic socket.
  24. He got the answer right away. Top line. The rest he can ignore after a week of asking if anyone was selling one. The info is all in the section, the pinned thread are at the top of the page, and all the stuff has been getting covered for 10 years. Maybe it is time that the stuff was summed up easily. The last video linked does that.
