  1. Maybe some debris from the head work jamming thermostat open?
  2. Have them check cabin fuse 26.
  3. Mostly about CO2 figures, for regulatory and marketing reasons, I suspect.
  4. ^ Yep, but erWin doesn't have parts lists.
  5. Normal cos that's not an official Skoda site.
  6. I think the whole charging system is OK, although you could still have a poor contact somewhere in the power feeds to the steering pump. Have you inspected the main strip-fuse that feeds the pump, in the fusebox above the battery? VCDS can tell you the voltage that is actually getting to the pump itself, in real time, which would be handy to know.
  7. Yes, that seems promising with regard to the battery. Reconnect to car and continue to monitor, I think. You will see lower numbers*, but hopefully only slightly, and the rate of drop may tell you something about the level of parasitic drain without any active measuring of currents. *Because the current when connected is never zero, even if all 'fault' parasitic currents are eliminated.
  8. Which aspect of the last emissions test was marginal? CO? HCs? Lambda? Not sure the EGR valve will be relevant TBH.
  9. Oh, and don't rush into buying a new alternator if the battery symbol doesn't appear, there is one particularly common wiring breakage that can cause this and is cheaply fixed.
  10. Don't assume anything at all about the voltage your alternator is outputting, measure it. You can borrow or buy a mutimeter and measure voltage across battery posts before and after starting the engine. Or there are LED-display voltmeters that plug into a lighter socket. Don't leave that plugged in all the time though, or it will itself discharge the battery slightly when the car's off. Does your battery symbol light come on when you turn the ignition to the position where lots of warning lights self-test?
  11. Try blocking that hole on the PCV with fingertip. Do you feel suction? You should not.
  12. There's an interesting chart towards the bottom of the page here, comparing viscosity values of 'crankcase' and 'gear' oils graded in the SAE system. As you will see, the numbers are in no way equivalent, and a 75W gear oil can in fact have a viscosity very close to a 5W engine oil. Weird, huh? Someone please explain VG and weight | Bob Is The Oil Guy I'm on a device that I can't work fully just now, or I'd screenshot the chart; if someone else would like to, it would be good.
  13. @Adrian55555 the wiring diagram you are looking for is one of the documents available here: MK1 Fabia workshop manuals - SKODA Fabia - BRISKODA That is where I found that a blown fuse 24 would be consistent with several of the fault codes you posted before.
  14. Did you check fuse 24 as suggested?
  15. Yes, but you just couldn't resist bringing up smaller wheels, at the slightest opportunity.
  16. @Carlston And that's true, but it doesn't refer to wheel size. The thread is about brakes.
  17. Translation:- Greetings to everyone! Superb 2016 tailgate works unsteadily. With a vcds scan, there is only an error in the container if I forcibly close it. Works after clearing an error. It can be opened in 5-10 minutes, but does not close. Just click one on the engine. Does anyone have experience? Thanks.
  18. The car I mentioned came on 14s not 13s. You do rather "inflict" your excitement about small wheels on a lot of other peoples' threads. Why not start your own?
  19. That list ^ is also wrong with regard to 239mm brakes. Some mk1 1.2 64hp also got 239mm. I know because my partner owns one. Other mk1's with that engine also got 256mm, also not there. Why work with a list/site that's known to contain inaccurate info?
  20. Heater resistor. This video shows the replacement on a VW Up, and is on a LHD car so you'll need to mirror some bits for RHD. The amount of trim removal necessary for access on a Citigo, and the method of such removal may well be different too, but the resistor will be in the same position between fan and pollen filter. 21. OK, I've gotta make more use of screenshots! One moment..
