Octavia Long delivery times

Featured Replies

I must admit I'm loving mine... and all those folk who said there was nothing to worry about making the conversion to DSG, were right.

The only thing I forgot to do was specify flappy paddles :wall: for that little extra control. Can they be retrofitted too??

  • Although dealers may indeed give differing stories as to build dates and arrival at dealer there is a mitigating reason for this. Two cars may be built on the same day and trained upto Emden together

Just to update my details.

Ordered 5th September and originally given a build date of wk49 now told wk52, but apparently factory is closed that week for Christmas. I guess it will get here when it gets here!

Not been advised of any deviation from the price / part excahnge value agreed in September yet.

The delay stinks. Still, it will be worth the wait

Also, you should get price protection so shouldn't have anything to worry about there.

Had a phone call from my dealer tonight. Picking it up Tuesday. Ordered 3rd October with a week 46 build date. Race Blue with spare wheel side airbags and dimming mirror. Hoping they will be able to get some eibach springs from the pre FL and put on there too.

Contacted the dealer today and found out that delivery to them is due next week - so with me several days before Christmas I'm assured. Ordered 9 Sept - so about 14 / 15 weeks in all. (vRS Race Blue CR DSG, Xenons, BT, Lights Assist, Rear sensors and Heated Seats). From everything I've read on here - I can't wait :)

Octavia Estate 1.8TSi DSG Elegance (with Anthracite, Columbus, TPM and wood trim) - ordered 9 October, arrived at local dealer 7 Dec. A couple of days sorting out pre del checks, registration etc etc and car was available 10 Dec to collect. A total of 9 weeks. Dealer was excellent throughout keeping me (unprompted) up to date with expected dates. It was built week 46 btw. Oh yes - despite the comments I've seen previously about wood trim - it looks great and to my eye is well matched with the Anthracite and onyx/grey interior! Am very impressed with the 1.8TSi engine too - plenty of get up and go.......now just have to get to grips with the Columbus instruction manual!

I think they can, pm Ben, shark_90.

I ordered mine a week before you and got it Thur so that's pretty much spot on. Oh, I got Venture Shield fitted can supply details of the guy to anyone, he fitted it at dealers!

I ordered the 13th of october (vrs estate dsg cr) it has been built this week (50) and is sat in germany waiting to be shipped to the uk. Still say i should be able to pick it up the 2nd week in jan but i'm hoping for a little earlier.

Ordered mine the week before you, same spec (in black). Spoke to the dealer on Tuesday who was a little confused by the new tracking system but seemed to think that it had been released from Emden, so now is hopefully sat in Port of Tyne waiting for a transporter. Mine was in Germany for a week before allegedly being shipped.

Ordered mine on 12th October, popped into the dealership yesterday to sign the registration details and sort out insurance and will pick it up Tuesday morning, so 9 weeks - not bad.

Spec: vRS CR170 manual estate in anthracite. Curtain airbags, silver roof rails, heated seats (free), spare wheel,

Just heard that my has been built yesterday and should be with me in 4 to 5 weeks.

Ordered mine mid November, just chased up my build date - week 6 for me. I'm waiting for a March plate, so hopefully should be shipped over in time for 1st March!

Ordered mine (vRS CR DSG plus options) on 9th Sept. It's due to arrive at the dealer tomorrow and I can pick up in a week (suited me that way). 15 weeks and given that I was told 14 to 16 weeks, that's bang on really.

Ordered mine Sept 21st. It's now in Grimsby, (probably stuck in the snow!), and weather permitting should arrive at the dealers at the end of this week. We're away for Christmas so will pick it up as soon as we get back - can't wait

If all goes to plan, it will have been 14 weeks.

Ordered mine 30th Sept, Built Week 48 arrived at the dealers on Tuesday, picking it up Friday.

There are 3 or 4 other Vrs/Vrs estates at Rainworth that arrived at the same time, are they for anyone here ?

Mine ordered at Rainworth 28 th Sept, arrived there on 7th Dec picked up Monday (14th) Candy White 2.0 Vrs Tdi Hatch. Just had the rear parking sensors and Spare Wheel. Well pleased, engine much better than my previous Audi (140 pd). Build quality excellent....Dealer experience first class. Also took the Skoda 7 day free insurance to get things sorted easier, again can't fault....

Ordered mine (Vrs Race blue petrol, leather) on 28th august, arrived this week, picking up on Saturday morning. Its been a long wait!

Ordered mine on the 25th of Sept collecting tomorrow.

Suspect it could have been here for a couple of weeks as I have been in the US for a while.

Out of of personal interest, do the parking sensors still give a graphic display in the Bolero?

The factory fit ones do. Yes

Not 100% sure about the VRS, however my Elegance with Bolero still has the display in the Bolero for the rear parking sensors.

Absolutely YES....good bit of kit. Reverse gear selected up pops the display in Bolero, mutes radio, then 'beeps' until continuous tone with display altering as you reverse. Also indicates which corner of the car is nearest to 'object' if you are on the skew......

Just about to place an order with Simpsons of Gt Yarmouth for a 1.6 SE Estate. Expected delivery is March and they said they normally sell 4 or 5 in December but this month to date have sold over 45. So yes word is getting out how good these cars are.

Ordered my 1.8 TSi SE hatch (mettalic paint but no options) on the 30th Nov, just heard today it will be ready for collection on Sunday so only 3 weeks from order to collection (dealer managed to find a pre-built one, so no factory order).

I'm really happy as I will make a nice Christmas present and also means I get to deny the government an additional 2.5% VAT :smirk:

Welcome to Briskoda :)

ATM it's anything upto 15 weeks for cars coming though now, so you might not get it 1st March, but you should get it that month. At least you'll have the new registration plate

Nice choice of car - the 1.6TDI is reportedly a nice engine and the SE offers a good mix of features and value. Bet you can't wait!
