Wow. Just wow. I personally think the GTR is the greatest car made today, it is unbelievable! Enjoy!

Thanks.

I'm just waiting to see how long it will be before you take the mod stick to it! :giggle:

It's already had stage 1, to take it up from a paltry 470bhp to 550.

But you know me... ;)

I have to say I just took it out for a spirited drive and used the R mode on the transmission, as it's later and the roads are not packed with traffic like when I was driving home.

You really can't describe it.

Absolutely bonkers, like being shot out of a cannon and completely :swear: insane spring to mind, but this thing defies belief and seems to be at odds with the laws of physics.

Yet it's surprisingly easy to drive. Overall I have to say I've never respected a car like this, it's really something else. Half an hour after getting back I am still excited from the adrenaline rush and my throat is sore.

I :swear:  this car.

PS. thanks for all the kind comments on the GT-R, I do feel very lucky to be in a position to actually get it.

The question is what do you work as lol

I run my own transport business. Started it nearly eleven years ago.

Nothing particularly fancy, just lots of vehicles.

Oddly, other sidelines I've looked into have often provided more financial benefit.

You could say I've been lucky. That and hard work as I started without a pot to pee in and didn't even take any wages for the first six months.

In my first three years I did take two days off though. :giggle:

Amazing car, very cheap for what they are tbf

ps: any vids of 0-60 times? lol

Here you go:

GT-R acceleration.

Without Launch Control, so limited to about 2000rpm before setting off.

Would be faster with but don't need to abuse it... yet. :)

You assume correctly. :)

Thanks God!

Now i can carry on with just hating you rather than really really hating you! :p

Top work on the GTR though!

A guy at my other half's guy has one (traded his Ford GT in for it don't you know) and i think he's sunk thousands into it and its +/- 700bhp and dripping in carbon fibre.

That said he did one of the 15 minutes sessions at Combe last year had a "slight moment" shat himself and refuses to take it near a track again! :D

All the gear no idea!

With hindsight the TT-RS was just an attempt to get something quicker than the VRS while trying to forget about the GTR.

I had a test drive in a GTR six months ago... I couldn't really justify having one, but also couldn't forget about it.

In the end I figured I'd do it for a year and get it out of my system. Maybe. :giggle:

The TT-RS is a great car... but I'd have felt sad everytime I saw a GTR.

My wife told me to just hurry up, buy one, play with it and then sell it. Rather than keep talking about it.

If the guy with the 700bhp GTR is in the GTROC I may know him.

Some of the conversions I've seen are completely bonkers and cost big money, the Moscow unlimited this year was won by a 1200bhp GTR that beat two 1500bhp Lambos. :o

Absolute madness, but I guess when they're earning millions it's just a hobby.

God knows what that cost, but I bet you could buy a decent house instead.

If I had the money/was in your position.....I would have had the same thoughts...the GT33....GT34 etc and now the GTR are very good cars at doing what a fast car should do...but much cheaper than a Lambo, 911, etc etc.....ok so it's not as luxury as other cars......but what's the point of all show when you want max usable bang for your buck....unless you have serious money!!

Thing is the new tweeks to the 2011? version make it even more polished like it should have been...and then there is the unlimited tunning potential...and wallet emptying....mind you if it's beating very expensive Lambos....that's got to hurt the Lambo drivers ego....OUCH!!!! :giggle:

The MY11 is fabulous. 530bhp stock. But at 70k well out of my price range.

So I settled on a MY10 (was 470bhp) with a tweak to make 550bhp and the MY11 gearbox software download for 40k bought privately. Performance is very similar, but the car was a lot cheaper.

I'm hoping in a year it'll not shed too much value. :D Less than I've spent on the Fabia anyway...

Just seen this - congratulations

That looks, well.... awesome emoticon-0103-cool.gif
