Got my plate off retention and on the car yesterday.

Sets it off quite well, but then I am biased.

Hoping the wheel will arrive soon from Jabbasport for the Fabia VRS SE so I can start trial fitting.

Would be nice to know it's done and I can order a set of rims ready for next years fun and games.

Is it going round Castle Combe next year? :D

Beat those annoying Forge cars that give passenger rides into a cocked hat :p

That's a great plate!

Richard took me out in the GT-R tonight and it left me pretty speechless. I'm used to riding bikes on the limit so most cars are normally pretty unexciting even if they're uber quick but this was just another ball game all together. It's so agile for a big heavy car, it's obviously lightning fast but that didn't seem important, it was more how it just stuck to the road, it felt almost impossible to get anything wrong, almost like playing an arcade racer where you can take corners at stupid speeds and make it round feeling like you could have gone faster.

The videos of the 0-80mph runs just don't do it justice. It's a neck snapper for sure. The amount of attention it gets just sat stationary is mind boggling in itself, I don't think I saw one person not have a look at some point during the whole time I was in it lol.

Not gunna forget that experience any time soon...

Plates a wee bit wonky lol :D

Nice to meet you again and glad you liked the car.

Which track was this on? ;)

Remember Clarkson's neck based injury during Top Gear's first review of it? Just due to the amount of G-force it can generate, particularly while cornering.

Bet that makes sense to you now :D

Been a while since I saw that, but I looked it up again:

(like mine, but with 80-odd less bhp and the old gearbox software)

Same colour too! B)

Any more videos? :)

Find me a Yeti vRS then please Bryan... :p

And the Nissan has 550bhp currently. Give or take a couple as usual.

To be fair, they have never claimed they are even remotely that fast, and the Nissan is not a Giant.

When you use it you realise it's in a whole new league.

They seem to have fitted one of the engines from the starship enterprise. :giggle:

Lush car.

Going to the ring on the 14th, you wouldn't mind if we borrowed the GTR would you? :giggle:

Kev

Those big Nissan GTR'S are proper rocket ships alright! However.... i was passing them with ease at the nurburgring last July during a track day. Don't believe me then watch the video. I was cheating a bit though and i was only the passenger lol!

That video was 'edge of the seat' stuff mr rooney! emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Good video Mr Rooney. :)

Sure I've seen it before though, did you post in another section some time back or has someone else been out with this driver?

Edit: Found it!

Certainly a blisteringly quick car, but not sure my wife would want to wear a crash helmet to go to the supermarket on a Saturday morning... and where do I put the baby seat? :D

The Germans don't accept this car as road legal although it is fully legal in the UK. Vergers drove a sr8 from Peterborough to the ring and set the production car lap record then drove it home! 6.47 for the full lap (not bridge to gantry).

I was in the ''slow'' sr3 with a 1.3 motorbike engine lol!

Yes these Radicals don't have the creature comforts of your GTR for sure and the sr3 i was in was 70k so not exactly cheap either.

The same price new, now they've bumped the GTR price up £10k since March 2011.

Makes an 18 month old one seem a bit of a bargain at £40k.

Good thing about Nissan is they're pretty helpful under warranty, even on modified ones. :)
