Richard's 09 mkI VRS SE. (and others)

The same price new, now they've bumped the GTR price up £10k since March 2011.

Makes an 18 month old one seem a bit of a bargain at £40k.

Good thing about Nissan is they're pretty helpful under warranty, even on modified ones. :)

The Nissan's are real bargains to be honest! As good as a GT3 RS's but a lot cheaper and i love them.

Was looking at one in a show room at the nurburgring in white and it was gorgeous. Not sure what mpg they do but i'd imagine slightly more than my TDI 130.

not sure my wife would want to wear a crash helmet to go to the supermarket on a Saturday morning... and where do I put the baby seat? :D

Never mind the baby seat - where would you actually put the shopping?

Obviously I wasn't at my best at 7:14am this morning.

That radical................ :p soooo.....mmmmmmmmm

Funny GTR video...

Impressive, in a straight line :)

"No substitute." Apart from when corners are involved emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Nice find Wardy, but their figures are a bit off.

The 2011 GTR is 0.4 seconds quicker to 60mph.

But I suppose that wouldn't make the video so good, so they forgot to switch the launch control on.

(Which is covered under warranty on a 2011) :)

Good 4x4 for America though, they don't seem to have many corners.

Nice '60 time released for the MY12 today too - 2.7s should do nicely... emoticon-0104-surprised.gifemoticon-0103-cool.gif

Yes I saw, very impressive.

Hope it can be filtered down to the older models like the MY11 launch control and gearbox software.

The guys in the GTROC that got invited to the launch event at Silverstone had quite a bit of info, but were not allowed to talk about it until the 7th November as Nissan asked them not to.

Funny how the GTROC based in the UK is the only official club recognised by Nissan outside of Japan.

They do get invited to some pretty special events.

In January some are going over to Japan to be given a tour of where they hand build the engines, care of the actual head designer of the car.

Now that makes me a bit jealous. :D

I'm starting to get the itch to modify a bit more already...

Sell the fab for a few funds and get to it, no point having the fab sitting around if your not going to use it as you say. It's a gtr for goodness sake lol

Today I have been mostly... watching people work on my car. :)

Higher capacity air intakes and a few engine tweaks.

Bigger front brakes.

And bigger rear brakes. Nokia phone for size comparison.

rearbrakes.jpg

Exhaust. The cleanest it will ever be!

Anti roll bar upgrade and it's nearly ready...

End result.

It stops better, goes better and turns better. Now running about 620bhp.

Work carried out by Litchfield Imports.

I wonder if you realised just how true this comment was Sam. :giggle:

I've only had the car about a month! :o

Haha it is so true.

I suppose if you have the money, you only live once, so why not enjoy yourself! Money is no use to you when you're dead..

Sam, I actually struggled for six months with wanting the GTR but not being able to justify the cost, using my sensible head. I usually prefer to plan for the future than have a party now.

But in the end I figured I'm already reaching my time for a mid-life crisis, have provided for the family pretty well for the future and if I don't do it now I probably never will.

With the business doing well and a bit of luck in other things financial I've ended up in a situation I didn't think I ever would be. I do feel very fortunate, but I figured... why not?

Sounds like you have your head very firmly screwed on emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I don't tend to do daft things on the road, but I've got a track day on the 17th December with the GTROC, Silverstone GP circuit.

Plan is to make some video clips then, hopefully some inside and outside.
