@NikEd - Do you still have the destruction leaflets? If so, do they quote part numbers? If you have part numbers you can probably buy new parts from Lego to replace any that are lost.

I forgot to trawl ebay for the last year, so dog house for me. It's her b'day this week. Although noting smythes does have the bucket wheel on offer, I'm half tempted, she did thing it was amazing when we were nephew lego shopping... Or maybe I'll just get her some really old lego, from a time we've not quite forgotten.

Which reminds me; not actually Lego, but the Airfix "Quickbuild" Bugatti Veyron looks right, and can sit in a collection of 1/24 and 1/25 scale cars without looking out of place.
