  • Update time.           Waiting on clutch and driveshafts for final assembly of mechanical bits to the drivetrain.

  • Actually my Yeti is done. Until we move to phase two this winter and fit a 2.0tsi.   While progress on the Citigo is slow it will be done one way or another by the end of the year, in time for meet

  • Yes.   One painted Citigo 4x4 shell and plans made for the next stage. Rebuild basics to allow for the loom to be made are being done over the next two weeks. Then a motorsport electrical speciali

Work begins in two weeks. Jabbasport have some nuremberg ring stuff on at the moment,

Its nurburgring btw. and this project will only fulfil its potential if you take it there and race it round the green hell.

A small lightwight car with a big lump in it is what the ring was designed for you will need to run the ride a little lower

and have better brakes though otherwise you will end up in the trees. keep it standard looking as possible though

mate i love street sleepers. Even take the alloys off and put some steel wheels on. ;-)

wow didnt realise there were this many pages when i posted the above

The exhaust tunnel looks almost ideal to run the prop down.

The new exhaust may have to sit a bit lower than standard, along under the bottom. We'll see. :D

Why not do a 'Jason'?

Off the turbo and out the side!!

Q-car looks gone then...

It's looking good. I'm looking forward to see the diff mounted. Is the wheelbase very differend or do you not now yet?

Looks amazing richard! I cant wait to see more!!! kudos to jabba for moving it along :D

It's quite deceptive as to how deep the tunnel really is, when me and Luke took the heatshield and were quite surprised by it.

I thought it very nice of Skoda to leave a big enough tunnel to take the exhaust and silencer right down the middle, just in case anyone wanted to put a propshaft there... :D

The difference in wheelbase between the mkI Audi TT and the Skoda Citigo is very little.

Wikipedia shows 2mm, but I'm not sure that's 100% correct.

I believe it's less than 1cm though. Which means the electronics shouldn't get too upset if it's possible to keep them.

Exhaust wise mine is still a Q car, as I have nothing visible from the back or the side. The tail can only be seen at the side from either a long distance away or up close when you're on your knees. :)

Nice going with the engine mounting, glad its coming along for you. Hopefully see it at combe next year instead of the datsun.

At the stage we are now the easiest option would be to convert it into a pedal car.

Car coming along good B/F just need to get the engine connected to the pedals and you'll be away.

Now this is to me one of the ultimate sleepers! A Q tractor :D

The tractor - I want one!

Good to see stuff happening with the Citigogo. at least now you know it's definitely possible. Now time for much tinkering and fettling.

Now thats something i thought i would never see. A tractor doing doughnuts and doing a burnout.emoticon-0104-surprised.gif

Back on subject, the build seems to be progressing well

@FUBAR

What a find!!!

Imagine that thing on a track smoking the big boys lol

Suspension to die for - a big go kart!

I sooo want one!

Thought this might get a few people talking.... It's dinner time, so we wondered what the original wheels would look like on it...

Might be some mileage in this so to speak, what about the original tyres on the TT rims for the stretch look, a bit of negative camber aka jap / vw style and air?

Ha Ha demon camber on a citygo......

Looks like someone just T-Boned the wheels.

Sko-with-go, I'd have some of that, but I think Richard needs to completely hog the limelight on this one. I'll get the burger van organised for the unveiling.
