Has anybody remapped a Skoda Fabia 1.6 tdi CR 75 engined car? If so what gains did you get and how do you rate the car afterwards? And who did you use?

Scrap that just read the first post, Shark seem the best bet, anybody with above engined car care to give their review.

Mine was a 105 to start with, but I'm led to believe that the 75 should map to the same figure

Only downside for you is insurance, as you're looking at a massive percentage increase which many companies may not take kindly to

Oh, there's a 2nd person in the car as well. I think that's the secret for hitting such great times!

And a hammer to hit the watch so it stops on 6 :)

That would mean a 3rd person to operate the hammer, hence even faster times...

Start watch with one hand, hammer in the other hand and steer a perfectly straight, very rapid course with the knees

Simples :)

Our HQ is in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire where all development is done and our dyno is situated.

You coulda done mine at Skoda Rainworth before it left...lol

Skoda day at Santa Pod then?

Our caddy now has the stage 1. Not yet been on the dyno, expected to be 135hp as Shark state.

This is the base 75hp engine to, so anyone looking before taking the plunge, we can demo the caddy ;)

re post #125,

'Warranty & Insurance implications'.

You just need to be aware that your Skoda Manufacturers Warranty will be invalidated on the engine and possibly the drivetrain.

& you will have to declare the Remap with your insurance Broker / Underwriter.

leobella,

maybe a good idea to go get a road test in the new Polo GTI 1.8 TSI and you or the lass can drive it have a wee drag race to 62 mph and see if you can smoke it with the Standard 1.4 TSI.

Anyone had any experience of the Awesome gti remap for the 1.6 cr tdi engine? Currently being offered for £350 and claiming 140bhp and 230lb.ft. Tempted!

You might be better off starting that as a new topic instead of it getting swept up in a Shark thread

For what it's worth my car was used as the development mule by Shark, so the very first 1.6 TDi map by them, and I'm over the moon with it :)
