My build gone from week 2 to week 51.

Happier but still a bit disappointed.

i confirmed my order on 6th Septemeber but it was a car the dealer had ordered for stock on 1st August.

 

so:

1st Aug -  car ordered

6th Sept - confirmed as mine

21st Oct - built

25th Oct - sat at Emden

 

I think I have been lucky.

 

Car ordered 1st week of September, built week 42, in the UK this week, to the dealers next week and then picking up the week after!

10 weeks start to finish if it goes to plan.

Got my notification it's on the way to the German port for shipment to the UK.

 

I'll be happy if it stays in Germany until Tuesday, rather than it being tossed about on the boat in the North Sea during the expected storm on Sunday/Monday night. 

Picking my Candy white elegance estate up on Wednesday! Went into the dealer yesterday to finalise the paperwork. Took out the 7 day free insurance with Skoda and after being quoted only £24 a month I went ahead with them!

Ordered 2nd Aug

Built 1st Oct

Arrived in UK (Sheerness) 18th Oct

Arrived at dealers 24th Oct

Can't wait now!

My vRS TSI hatch has been confirmed for build week 44. Expected delivery will be end of November/start of December.

 

Looking forward to trying this petrol engine out. I've heard good things...

Last rumor I heard is that if you have equipment with "camera" in the front window (Lane assiste or Traficsign) there will be a delay of approximately 20 weeks

I contacted SUK this morning who confirmed that there was a six / eight week delay on top of the estimated twelve week order time on my diesel Octavia VRS hatch due to problems wiith lane assist. Vehicle ordered

23/09/13. I did have a provisional build date of week 11

(10/03/14) but that has been removed from the system now. Not at all happy with the situation.

I ordered my VRS Hatch 17/08/13 and I had confirmation last week that it will be built next week.

Who knows whats going on. I can only pass on my experience with the Skoda ordering process, which has become less than pleasurable.

I guess the only date that counts is the confirmed build date and I have no idea when I'll get one as I "only" ordered it a month ago.   I guess I thought I'd missed the tsunami that was ACC / LA delays! Anyone order on the first of Oct give or take a few days that knows anything at all confirmed right now?

Generally you will get the confirmed build date only 2 weeks before the real build.

Provisional build dates can change more times, or can even be removed from the system.

So looking at the wealth of experience on this forum. Based on an order 2nd October, when would the community expect it to reach these shores? (vrs estate tdi). Am I looking at a 14 plate car now in all likelyhood? I won't hold you to it - honest! I'll just go and get some medication to last me until next year!! 

Have an Comi SE 4x4 on order for a couple of weeks now and the dealer is convinced we will see it in January. However I think based on the experience here he's being optimistic. Mind there's no fancy driver assist options or glass roof in the spec so you never know but I'd be quite happy for it to slip a month and be a 14 plate to be honest.

Ordered mine 2nd Sept and still nothing (build date) but i do beleive this is Skoda's 'cunning plan' to get people to add more extra's, ive added since original order:

Leather Seats

Park assist

 

I need them to give me a build date to stop me adding more extra's

How long before your provisional build date is the cut off for changing things? I've been given a provisional build week of 49, beginning of Dec, & been told that I can't make any changes now.

We ordered at the end of August (no problematic extras on the tdi vrs).

I managed to add mitsumi on a week after signing paperwork. However I didn't get a confirmed build week until 1 week before.

Car was built last week and is currently in Germany.

Dealer reckons 10 days for delivery to garage.

Ordered my vRS last Monday and i've been told today to expect it the week before Christmas. Only extra is the sat nav which is dealer upgradable from what they told me when I signed the lease paperwork. Hope that helps...
