Edit: is it just me or is there a dent in the front passenger door?

It's not you.

Looks like the front passenger door and leading edge of the rear have had been pushed in a little.

Yup looks like they have scrapped alongside something as it has creased all the front passenger and part way into the rear passenger side. Passenger front door looks slightly out too.

It's a long old way to get it back from shaftsbury. Want a hand collecting it? :)

Briskoda Fantasygreenline it? :D

been getting my geek on today by buzzing out the loom connectors for the ECU

all 4 Injectors

all 4 Coil Packs

Crank Sensor

Throttle body Potentiometer

Intake Air Temp sensor

Engine Coolant Temp Sensor

the Remaining bits are:

Lambda Sensor

Boost/MAP Sensor

Random wiring/Modules, work out where they are wired too (hopefully we can get some info on this)

Power wiring (again random switched +12V feeds going everywhere)

Turbo Coolant solenoid wiring

once i have identified what goes where, ill be itching to get back to the Fabia and get the engine in so i can determine wire lengths for the loom

:) Is it sad im looking forward to making the ECU loom? :D

Well done mate. That was a mess that loom.

i have "requested" Richard buys a new ECU connector with crimps, there is no way im leaving the 30,000 crimps which have been put in all over the place. longest "crimp chain" was 4 long!, wtf! just cut it out and replace the wire!

Just a shame ill probably need the car for a day, once the Engine is in, to measure up loom lengths and spend about good few days making the loom up

Sounds like a better idea to get a new connector. Would be better and tidier!

Well when i say "requested" it was more of a demand lol, necessity now as the old connector is cut off

Wiring list is complete, may draw up a quick schematic to get my head around it all. I have a two sensors i have no idea about (i only have one of them) but they were both bolted to the bulk head, with inlet vacuum/boost lines attached and 2 and 3 pin connectors. and I cannot find where the Turbo Coolant Solenoid wiring connected to, i have the Ground (it was a crimp to chassis) but the other end is just a bare copper wire, can you remember if it was actually connected dan?

There are few inputs/outputs which i can guess what they do but would be nice to plug the ECU in and have a read of whats on it.

Top work Taylor.

One of them the N75?

One of them the N75?

Nowt got a clue lol.

Im learning as i go here, one was a small sensor about 1" cubed, with a vac line and 2 pin connector (wired as +12V and signal, i.e, its some kind of boost/vacuum operated pull up switch) the other is sitting infront of me about 2" square, 0.5" high without the connector fitted, with the following markings: Magnetti Marelli SP A05/01 2058, again with a vac line but with a 3 pin connector (wired as +5V, 0 and Signal)

edit: doing some double checking/reading, turns out one could infact be the aftermarket equiv of the N75 :D lol well spotted Mr Harper!

I thought the fantasy green Fabia's were horrible before joining here, but they do have a very strange appeal lol!

I can't actually remember there was so much going on with the wiring it would take me a few days to get my head around it all!

History is littered with stories of what happens to those who follow mad men! Don't let it happen to you.

Yea

Me n Richard have discusses quite a bit about how much metal we are cutting out :)

Are you insane?

No, my mk3 Ibiza shat its third gearbox so i needed a cheap replacement and Shaftesbury is only 20 minutes away lol. Its pretty sound for 140k miles, just needs new headlights as one is snapped and a new clutch (think it's original 140k old) i like the colour too
