I do maintenance scheduling & planning and contractor liaison on large water assets.  My current title is Maintenance Officer.  My employer wants to reduce my pay & give me the new title of Reliability Engineer.  Personally i'd rather sound like the guy that sweeps the floors & keep the money

Well I'm still a Valve Technician working in the workshop, on-site, abroad and anywhere else I can go. Currently working on Rugeley power station on a huge shutdown, previous was Ratcliffe power station and that outage was for 8 weeks. Been to Bahrain twice in 2011 for a month each time helping a company out. Each day is a different one, very rarely you get the same thing the day after.

Auric,

They have pale blue ships & are the biggest container company in the world. If that doesn't help, the company is Danish, they are also involved in oil exploration, & have some tankers. For anyone still not sure, you're out of time, the company is Maersk Line.

Information Security Officer in the Public Sector in Scotland

Interesting job (if you're slightly mentally twisted) but pays crap.

I'd like to state publicly that Lee01 is a hero for keeping the Pr0n flowing. I think we can all appreciate the work he does

"Emma, Edith or Mc-Kinney Moller

I assume Tom Hanks no longer Captains your ships :giggle:"

None of the above, & not particularly interested in going on the E's or Triple E's. Last 2 years on Stepnica, next trip on L Class.

Tom Hanks only does US ships, lol. I've not watched the film, but at least Hollywood didn't change the nationality for a change.

Systems software developer since '97, formerly on IBM mid range s38/400/iSeries, but the last 12-15years on web based stuff.

Last 3 years working for myself trying to find the next small big thing.

Toying with part time outdoor instruction/IRATA/stone mason something practical based, outdoors that makes someone smile, hopefully me too.

So while the small big thing eludes me, I'm currently working with small companies and individuals as web/software builder.

IT Consultant - Oracle Fusion Middleware (WebLogic) Mainly, but a really strong grounding in Linux Sysadmin.. with a sprinking of coding!

Pay just about covers the bills for the year as the wife is a stay at home mum looking after the little one.

I don't live extravagantly by any measure.. but we get by in our rented flat.

Auric, a good site if you have an interest in ships is

Free to sign up, & a large number of photos in the Gallery, including a few of mine.

Thanks for the Link, very Intresting.  Whats your username on the site to see your photo's.

I follow ships on the Marinetraffic web site

( Evergreen Group )  Ever Laden/superb and Sigma.  Also see the positions of general cargo ships  BBS Sky/Sea and Surf

Bit of an Anorack but it's Intresting, big fan of Mearsk ships   ( Eddie Stobbart of the seas  :giggle: ) especially  Edith and Emma
