VCDS options on Superb III

Yesterday i have coded the light assist on my MY2017 (from Enriquez's post) , and i still can figure out if it works or not.

According to the owners manual, there is a speed threshold of either 40 or 60 km/h.

If you have any progress with that feature, please let me know

 

P.S. i have the bi-xenon headlights

If you push the light stalk forwards do you get the light assist symbol on your display (looks like a high beam symbol with little 'A' in the corner).  It also won't light up if you're in a residential area, where there's street lighting though I believe there's another VCDS option to override this, and also the off/on speed thresholds. 

 

EDIT: I think that you have to have your main light switch in the 'AUTO' position too.

You just code it and go to empty country road. When the speed goes over cca. 60km/h high beams should automatically turn on, if you have activated high beam assist with steering stalk.

I do have my light switch to AUTO, but it was in the middle of the day and on a parking lot

When it push the light stalk forward, i got the blue headlight symbol on my instrument cluster (not on my color maxi dot), and also there is no "A" on it.

Any way, i know that i have to wait for the dark hours of the day, and drive with at least 60 km/h, so i will try tonight

If you get blue symbol then High Beam Assist is not active, these are normal high beams.

Have been for a drive and high beam assist seems to work perfectly with the original documented adaptations for MY17 cars - even though I have halogens.

 

Very pleased with lane assist and high beam assist.

 

Would just be great if high beam assist could be made to work at lower speeds on MY17 cars, as for some narrow country lanes 40mph is too high for the threshold.

Strange, on my MY17 high beam assist is not working.

The car is factory equipped with Traffic signs recognition, blind spot detect, bi-xenon head lights, columbus head unit.

I have successfully coded the lane assist (and it works perfectly ever since), but cant figure it out why high beam assist is not working.

Today i did a double check on everything :

After that i did factory reset to Lights and Drive assist, then a Hard reset to the head unit and still nothing

Can you guys confirm that if the option is available, you can enable/disable it through the head unit -> Car -> Settings -> Lights

Für diese Codierung muss unbedingt die "große" Kamera verbaut sein. Beim "einfachen" Fernlichtassistenten ist nur die "kleine" Kamera verbaut, welche sich nicht für die oben angegebenen Assistenten genutzt werden kann.

 Yes, I have just done exactly this and it seems to work fine with halogens.

 

Would still like to be able to reduce activation speed though.

Looks to me like you havent done the 3rd adaptation in 09.

You'll primarily get Superb III owners viewing your post and the chances of one being both local and a VCDS owner/user may be slim.

There are several VCDS owners listed in @Gizmo68's list of VCDS owners located in Wales that may not be Superb III owners but possibly reasonably local to you.

PM them and see if they're willing to do whatever it is you wish done.

It is described here, just look for " Verkehrszeichenerkennung" Menu. 

It is a bit different than in My16.

Is it possible to code a constant power feed to steering wheel while in the car? I've gotten so used to the mfst buttons and it annoys me when im sitting waiting for whoever and I go to change radio functions or volume but it wont work because ignition is off. First world problems I know....

Is there a Trailer Assist function available anywhere? If so is there any hardware that is required? Getting Factory fitted Tow Bar and Rear View Camera on a new L&K Estate.

I was last at the dealer to coding to brandnew S3 and both have the camera with TRS. I found out the A5 module is a little bit differend but stil got a option to activate LA. But after all the codings and deleting all fault codes lane assist won't work. It trows still an error in A5 communication error in both car. Because there was no S3 with lane assist availible i like to ask iff someone got a brandnew S3 with 44 module 3Q0 909 144K and still have lane assist. I like to have a full scan on the car and adaption logs from 44/17/09 and A5 to look where are the difference.

I know when I did a MY17 it was different (took a minute or two to resolve) but I cannot find the screenshot I did... hence why I have not updated the thread yet.

It starts to work after radio reset and ignition cycle.
